Hotel is being renovated and rooms are very comfy and spacious. Cleaning crew was awesome and always kind to us. The front desk guy that was there at the time of our check in was unkindly and seemed to be bored working there.
My husband and I had a GREAT stay here! Everything from staff to rooms to breakfast was on point. Gideon helped with check in, and was a pleasure to speak with. The other front desk agent the following morning, didn’t catch her name, gave us late check out so we could spend a bit more time together. All in all, experience was EXCELLENT.
We will be back :)
We've stayed at other Homewood Suites and never had a problem.
We entered the hotel after check-in time but they still had to check if our room was ready. The room was 76 degrees when we entered and putting the air conditioning on full blast never got the temperature below 73 which is not a comfortable sleeping temperature especially for our 8 month old (it was in the 30s outside so we couldn't open the windows). The newly renovated room already had ripped carpet, the dishwasher had glass, a random piece of metal, smashed beans and what looked like hardened oatmeal in the bottom. We saw a cockroach in the cabinet under the sink in the kitchen, witnessed a bug crawl out of a crack in the kitchen backsplash onto the counter and the bathtub had a layer of grime and dust that we had to clean before putting our kids in it for a bath.
The front desk staff needs some basic training in customer service. She was rude to guests on the phone as I waited to check in. And she was also rude to me.
There is no signage in front of this hotel. I circled 3 times before figuring out where to park. There is lots of construction and the room I had was not yet upgraded. Bathroom faucet didn’t work so I used the kitchen sink.
Hope they can take these notes and make quick improvements.
Didn’t disclose that they are currently under renovation. All public areas closed. Will be a nice hotel once done. I wish though they would have been more truthful about their current state.
Clean! Wish we would have known that the pool and hot tub were going to be closed though as we intended to enjoy both amenities while there. Otherwise, clean and comfy.
Upon arriving at this establishment you are greeted with construction materials and dirt everywhere. The posted price was $138 on hotels.com but that was far from the end cost. While it did say it was pet friendly they didn't post that there would be a $75/night charge for the pet. They also charge you an additional $50/night to park in their garage.
The room was nice for the most part, clean and everything where it should be. Unfortunately, I would also assume due to the construction was the reason why the internet and cable tv were out.
The breakfast was very simple boxed milk, sealed cereal containers and gas station style hot sandwiches. And once again due to the construction the breakfast was right next to the check-in counter. There was no seating and you were expected to return to your room with whatever you found edible.
I would not stay again.
The front desk person who checked us didn’t actually check us in. Then the property turned the water off without informing us so I still have shampoo in my hair as I write this.
