This hotel was very clean from the moment we walked in the doors. They staff were so friendly and nice which made our stay more pleasant. The rooms were cleaned and full stocked with kitchenware, it was as if we never left home. The breakfast food was delicious and plentiful with many options. The area around the hotel was safe, quiet, clean, and had a ton of eating options. We LOVED Hole in the Wall Sushi and Simon’s Chinese cuisine. Totally recommend staying here and we will most likely stay at other Sonesta properties on our journeys.

The property needs to have some remodeling done. Our room the walls had some flaking plaster or something that had just been painted over not fixed. The garbage disposal aread stunk. The eggs didn't look good at all and the sausage was WAY over cooked. We were in the are for a medical appointment. We will choose another hotel next time.

The heating system was extremely loud, to the point it kept me up. Staff could not accommodate moving me to another room as the hotel was full. There was also no housekeeping, and we had to bring our own garbage to a specific area for disposal. The room itself was good, plenty of space. The woman who checked us in was extremely friendly, as was the day manager. Really nice surrounding area.

I stayed 10 nights. Up on check-in, the attendant told me the house rules. I wouldn’t get clean towels unless I brought my dirty ones to the front desk to exchange. It’s like a library swap because they found extra towels in rooms after previous clients checked out. Breakfast is 2 hours, period. Rooms are cleaned every 7 days. The pool is closed for season (it’s January). Laundry is free for guests, first-come-first-served basis. Should have thrown in a “Good Luck”! My room was never cleaned. The toiletries were not restocked. Breakfast was taco buffett, featuring scrambled eggs and mystery meat crumbles. Pancake griddle never worked. Coffee was brown water. Ten days, this rotation appeared. Laundry washing machine broke mid-cycle. The way the manager swung the machine out of its housing compartment looked like he’s done it many times before. That’s why there are “out of order” signs that go up and disappear daily. Temporary fixes for permanent problems. I washed my own towels. I took out my own trash. If I had a vacuum, I would have finished cleaning the entire suite. Parking was safe and free. Twice, I found several room keys in the parking lot that unlocked the front and side doors. The front desk attendant thanked me when I gave them to her. I alerted her that my room had not been cleaned. She kindly told me the manager’s hours. The only time anyone called my room or knocked on my door was to remind me of check out time. It was not quiet nor clean. Good Luck!

Stayed here for 2 nights and the property is in prime location. Closer to Avalon mall Alpharetta. Property is pretty old, and you can sense it as they have not upgraded the equipment's. They charge $5 per night per car extra. Room AC was not working, and we ended up moving to another room, Luckily, we did not unpack before realizing the non-working AC. Complimentary breakfast is pretty good and neat. They provide free self-service laundry, but the washer and dryers need maintenance. Front desk is helpful and courteous.

What hotel runs out of coffee for the room, and has none in stock? The absence of housekeeping is one thing, but the failure to supply garbage bags is just nuts. Our hearts go out to the staff as they are caught in the middle. There are plenty of alternatives out there, we suggest you go with one of them.

Convenient to the Avalon shopping center and near Alpharetta / Johns Creek. Hotel is a bit dated. Hallways a but musty, sometimes smells like weed. Forced air from heat is very dry. Staff were nice.

Great stay
We had a great stay overall. The location was the best. It was in the middle of everything we planned to visit. Very convenient. The suite was perfect for us. Very clean and comfy. Although they don’t clean up the room everyday, we just asked for the things we liked to replace. The breakfast wasn’t so good. Thanks the only complain I have. But we will stay in this chain next time if we con find it.

affordable stay in Alpharetta
second time staying there. Can't beat the rates and location. Next to a First Watch for breakfasts, although breakfast is included at the hotel. They do charge for parking which is a little ridicules.

Not what you would expect.
The name lists this being in Avalon; however, the Avalon section is further up the once you cross over 400. There is a $75 charge for a dog (15 lbs) and a $6 parking fee. There is nothing referencing this on the Hotels.com website.

The room door locks were being replaced in the whole hotel for 3 days and it should have been a discount for the inconvenience. Also the Wi-Fi connection speeds are horrible. Although the staff is amazing!!

Sonesta Suites are SWEET!
Sonesta Suites was gorgeous! We loved our suite so much! The breakfast was scrumptious, and the hotel was so quiet and cozy. We can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I didn’t like is we had to ask for bedding twice for our pullout and no one ever brought us towels as we were told. Outside of that, everything was amazing. Definitely staying again! Sonesta is a great chain!

Could be better
There is no ice machine at this property. None. Nada. Pet relief areas are not clearly marked. If your dog happens to poop in front of the property you have no where to dispose of it except to walk through the lobby, out the back door and to the designated pet relief area. I only found this out by asking. I don’t recall seeing any signs. The breakfast area was inadequate. There was no water (or ice).
