We’ve come here for years and love it, however this time was a bid different experiment. In addition to being told by the bartender who confirmed it that they had a shuttle that would take us to our restaurant (1 mile away), we were informed by the valet when we went to leave that they don’t do that anymore. We booked and paid through Expedia prior to checking in, yet after We checked out and reviewed our credit card statement we realized that we were Charged an additional $197 deposit for incidentals, a charge from the courtesy bar that we got nothing from and the full price for the room. The invoice i was emailed was only for the overnight parking.
I called the hotel and the amazing customer service rep graciously credited back all the extra and frivolous charges but said it it may be several day before the large amount of money I’d credited back.
We have stayed at this hotel for years beginning when it was still the Ritz and we have never had the issue of multiple extra charges. Just beware that you may be out a lot of money if it happens to you and there is no shuttle service anymore.
