I love this Hotel

Pros: Location, staff, class level.
Cons: Bigger bathrooms
The W Buckhead Atlanta is fantastic for many occasions. It is close to the night life, yet just far enough that is it still quiet. It is classy and elegant! The beds are to die for!

Overpriced and overrated

They charge entirely too much. The room was much smaller than anticipated. The night stands were broken. The shower was clogged. The pool is a joke and smells bad. They take you for all your worth. Hands down biggest disappointment.

Not what we expected

Pros: Proximity to shopping
Cons: Our room was small, tub was damaged and slow-draining, room service was fair at best; just not what I expected from a hotel in this area.
Location: Shopping!!
We booked this hotel at the last minute to be close to shopping in Buckhead. It was not well-suited for our family. It would be more appropriate for young singles or couples.

I would like to apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay with the hotel atmosphere not being as you expected. Our brand platform at W Hotels is to provide a lively atmosphere that is also edgy and fun. We do have a DJ in the Living Room (Lobby) every Friday and Saturday night for our weekly Music.Mix.Mingle event. We also have Whiskey Blue, our rooftop bar with skyline views of Atlanta, which is typically a very lively atmosphere, especially on the weekends. We also have a DJ at the WET Deck (our pool area) every Sunday for the weekly SUNDAZE event. Starwood Hotels is a very large company and each brand under the Starwood umbrella (W, Westin, Aloft, Le Meridian, Sheraton, St. Regis, etc) has a distinctly different brand image. The Westin focuses on healthy lifestyle, Le Meridian is worldly charm, while W Hotels focus more on what’s New and Now; Hip and Modern. As a W Hotel, having a lively club atmosphere at the rooftop lounge and attracting the kind of patrons who enjoy a dance club atmosphere on the weekends is a part of our brand image. I’m sorry this was not what you were expecting. Our hotel does have much more of a business clientele at our hotel on the weekdays. We strive to continuously improve our hotel and feedback like yours helps us to achieve this. Thank you again for taking the time to help us become better.

I wish I received a better room

My stay this week would have been better if I hadnt received the king room with the bathroom that wasnt in the seperate room. I fee like i got the worstroom in the hotel. It was disappointing especially when I have stayed there several times and have stayed in a room a lot better. You cant even use the bathroom without the ackwardness of the bathroom in the same room with just s sliding door.

Party Central in Buckead

This is a party hotel! The rooms are dated, the bathrooms are EXTRA SMALL, the staff and security are more concerned with party goers than customers who pay to stay, the pool party on Sunday is for the locals, the hallways are dark and dank, and always plenty of weed smoking smell to accompany your stay!

The W in Atlanta just OK nothing more

We arrived checked in around 7 and had to take showers to go to our family BBQ, the toilet overflowed and we had to use the bathroom in the lobby then wait,it was too late to take showers and we had to go to our family BBQ uncomfortable. If your not accoustomed to eating breakfast and want anything else you h ave to leave the hotel to get it, there are no lunches through room service or the restaurants before 11am which makes little sense to me as to way the kitchen only delivers and will only cook specifically breakfast until 11am, then lunch and then dinner throughout the hotel that was inconvenient as well, we had to walk to get food because at breakfast we preferred lunch. Silly I felt.
