Worst hotel staff experience I've ever had.

I was fortunate to find a decently priced hotel days before labor day weekend. I booked my room for Saturday night into Monday but due to the tropical storm Hermine, all concerts and events were cancelled AFTER I had already made the reservation. Before booking the room, I had called to confirm prices and was told that the Expedia purchase would be the entire fee, unless i needed to cancel in which was an additional $225 fee. When I arrived to check in, the woman at the desk had initially told me my night stay would be $125 and $100 security fee would be charged to my card but would be reimbursed the next day. Since I was not initially told about the security fee, she called (HUSBAND -- on her iPhone) a man to confirm the amounts. On speaker phone, he AGAIN confirmed the night stay would be $125 and the $100 fee to be reimbursed within 3 days. We agreed to stay, signed the receipts, received the room key, and left. Before walking into our room, the woman tells us to come back into the lobby. She then tells me she made a mistake and will not reimburse the $100. She refused to give me a refund and told me in that case, I would be charged the $225 fee. Extremely upset, I called the Police. The following morning upon check out, a younger man was at the desk. I tried to explain to him the situation, in which he rudely interrupted and said he already knew about it. He went on to insult, disrespect, and curse at me because of HER mistake. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER!!!!
