The bathroom was beautifully remodeled but the room was tired. The door had been repaired, mattress was old and the bed squeaked with every move. The end table top was badly delaminated and the freezer had an inch of ice all around it.

We stayed three nights at The Pavilion. It was close to the boardwalk/beach and there was (limited) parking onsite, but we did get a spot. The staff I interacted with upon check in/out were courteous. It looks like the motel is undergoing some renovations. The bathroom was recently upgraded and very nice - large tiled shower, newer vanity with lots of counter space. The bedroom had dated furniture (curtains had dead bugs/holes, lamp shade was very yellowed, small fridge in the room had some rust). No place to hang clothing/wet suits/towels upon returning from the beach. The property did have a pool, which seemed to have some black algae/mold above the water line on the pool wall. The property did have an onsite restaurant (we did not eat there), an elevator, wifi and an ice machine.

The most redeeming part of this motel is the location other then that it is not worth cost. Room doors barely shut, could hear everything happening outside the room which kept us up most of the night. The pool area was a disaster with random wet towels all over the deck area, pool desperately needs refirshbishing.

Me and my four children stayed on the first floor right next to the pool. Our room had two large beds that were pretty comfortable and each bed came with three pillows and linens. The bathroom was very nicely redone with enough towels for each person and built in shampoo, conditioner , and shower gel. The water got very hot with excellent water pressure. The room did not have any kind of odor and felt very clean. The motel has a restaurant located right in the front of the building with excellent breakfast and service. A parking spot was included with our room which was very nice. In the morning we walked right across the street and rented a surrey and rode up and down the boardwalk, it was amazing. The motel is perfectly placed so that you don’t have to cross any streets to get to the boardwalk and it felt like a safe location. It’s right off of eighth Street near Cinnabon and a fudge shop with the police station on the side. We did use the pool which was so warm. It was so nice to not be freezing. It could use a good cleaning, but we are easy to please and had fun. The courtyard was so nice to relax in and they had nice tables and patio furniture set up. The front desk staff was very welcoming and gave great suggestions. It was a great easy stay with a better price and location than a lot of other places in the area.

The description of the rooms did not match what was actually in the room. There was no full size refrigerator and no oven. None of the rooms had these items. When I booked, I asked to be placed in an adjoining room or near my 90 year old mother. When we arrived and were no where near her room, we were told they could not accommodate us. Looks like they made some renovations to the rooms recently. Restaurant was good for breakfast.

Great place.
Place was clean.bathrooms newly renovated. Staff was polite. Everything conveniently close by. Very close to the beach and boardwalk. Has been our go to spot for 2 yrs now and have been happy with what they have to offer.

Bathrooms were nicely redone as were carpets. Mattresses, furniture and fixtures in the room were old. Exterior property was beat up, pool area was dirty with peeling paint. Our door had a puncture hole in it. Air Conditioning was so loud overnight. Location was very convenient and parking was right behind the property, which was nice. However, the cost was not aligned with the overall quality of the stay.

The motel is in a great location to beach and boardwalk. We arrived at noon and couldn’t use their parking lot or beach passes, so it was a bother to find a parking and pay for it and then pay to get on the beach. Room is clean, bathroom updated, air conditioner is very loud and weak. Outside the door are old used cigarettes.. pool is nice. Check out is at 11 and we need to leave the parking lot so we have to pay for parking again to stay at the beach. We also were charged to use their lot over night. Next year we will try another hotel with all the conveniences included.

Classic beach motel in great location
The location is amazing and can’t be beat. The pool is very nice and big. Our room was kept clean and tidy by staff and the front desk staff was nice. The newly renovated bathroom and new patio furniture were very nice as well. We had an issue with our lights flickering when the AC units were on and some loud guests in the pool after hours and outside our door at 11pm. Overall, it’s a nice place with a very convenient location that is family friendly.

Bathrooms were upgraded and beautiful. Walls are thin, can hear your neighbors. Kids loved the pool. rooms need upgrading. Beds weren’t the most comfortable. Could use better pillows and blankets. Parking can be a problem. They have an overflow lot but it’s not next to the hotel and if they’re fully booked there’s not enough parking in the main lot. It’s also hard to navigate the lot especially if full. Not much lighting in the room either. Still one of the better places we have stayed over the years. Walking distance to boardwalk, shops, restaurants. Would stay again

Too much for too little.
This is a beach hotel, very convenient, and the prices quite high. There was convenient parking but the spaces were so tight, we expected to return to our car and find door dings. I am amazed we did not. The front desk staff was fine. Everything has been well maintained. The queen size bed was reasonably comfortable. The bathroom had been very nicely renovated. So why the low rating?? The room was very small. The bathroom had no surface area to lay out toiletries so you could work with them. The hotel had to stack the towels on the back of the commode. They should install one of those wire racks common in hotels for the towels. There is no coffee maker in the room.. The TV was set up in front of the mirror so it was useless. The air conditioner was fitted in to an opening though the wall meant for a larger unit. Nothing had been done to fill in the inch wide gap so the AC struggled to maintain temperature. The single small elevator was creaky to the point of making passengers a little apprehensive.

Exterior areas need maintenance (fresh coat of paint would go a long way) and pool was warm but tiling and deck need cleaning/updating. We booked this hotel last minute. I was a little nervous after when I read the reviews. The staff was very nice while most didn’t speak great English they were able to communicate our needs. The motel wasn’t anything special. A basic motel with older style rooms. Small older elevator, The bathrooms were all renovated and beautiful! We had hot water at all times, the bedding was clean and the location was amazing! You could easily walk to the beach and boardwalk. The pool was heated (too warm) it needed some painting but it didn’t bother us. I would stay again. It was perfect for us.

We had a great one night stay! The bathroom was updated and the shower was awesome! The only thing we noticed that wasn’t good was there was no smoke detector in the room. Hopefully it is replaced (in room 300) quickly. It was a cold and rainy day that we spent there but the pool looked awesome and someone told us that it was warm! We plan to come back again!
