I stay at Hamptons often. The rooms at this location are not very up to date...tv, furniture, carpet.

Pros: Nice breakfast. Reasonable price.
Cons: Parking lot seemed a bit small.
Location: Enjoyed touring Auburn and Opelika.
We enjoyed our stay and the room was quite comfortable. Really enjoyed the breakfast.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is very convenient to everything such as the interstate, restaurants, shopping malls and service stations. I will be sure to stay there again when traveling in the area.

I booked a king room and that was not the room they had for me when I got there, there were no king rooms available even though I booked and paid for my room in advanced.

Location: Location was good. Close to the University Beef Unit where the show was held.
I arrived in Auburn about 9:00a.m. and stopped in at the Hotel to let them know I was in town. I knew I could not check in at that time and did not want too. So I left went to the calf show and when the show was over I returned to check into the hotel about 2:45p.m.. I was told that the room was not read yet. He asked, more than two or three times, if I could use another type room or if I needed the Handicap room. I would not have asked for a Handicap room unless I really needed it. The told me It would be about 30-45 minutes before it would be ready. I left and did some shopping and came back about 45 minutes- 1 hour later the room was still not ready. My husband and I were tired and wanted to go to the room. I had to wait about 10-15 more minutes for them to get the room ready. I paid for the room with my credit card on November 17 and the funds were taken out of my account . When I finally got to check in they wanted another $50 deposit. This is ridiculous. I was ill by this time. We spent the night there and went down to have breakfast in the hotel and there were two hotel attendants in the dining area and they began loud arguing about how the cereal was placed on the counter. It went on and on. There were families with children in there also. I felt very uncomfortable about the situation. With some reservations I would recommend the hotel.

The genius that thought of just having a comforter on the bed with a "sheet" on the back should be fired. It makes for a miserable night's sleep when you can't just have the sheet. Plus, the travelers making the room cold, costs the company more money.

Dirty Carpets and washer and dryer did not work.. One was down for awhile and the other went down the week before. NO GOOD.

Location: Rural area, but convenient enough for our venue
When leaving the hotel (in formal attire) for our event the evening we checked in, a rain massive storm was in progress. The hotel staff had no umbrellas to offer (neither to borrow nor hotel owned with staff to assist to vehicles). We ran to our car, and departed - soaked from head to toe. Upon return, several hours later, the storm continued. The hotel and entire area surrounding area were without power. There was NO assistance to our room, no flashlights offered, etc. We used the last of our cell phone flash lights to walk the dark stairways and halls to enter our pitch-black room. We typically enjoy Hampton Inns and will look for them in the future; however. the staff, while very friendly, was not prepared. These seem like basic needs that could/should be easily addressed.
