Three day/two night stay

When we arrived we got early check in which was nice. Our room wasn't vacuumed and the stainless fridge was covered in fingerprints. We had no kitchen linens. The rest of our suite was very clean. Even with that bumpy start this is a great hotel. We will stay there next time we visit our kids here!

Great Job Residence Inn

Pros: All of the amenities
Cons: Laundry facility. Need one more Washer and dryer
After visiting Maine for a prep school opportunity, we decided to stay in Auburn at the Residence Inn just because there were no local chain hotels in the area where the school is located. You can tell the hotel was recently renovated and it looked great. The location is centrally located with walking distance to a mall, box store and plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was located in the front lobby area but out of the way from guest to enter. The pool, gym and laundry facility was tucked away in the corner so you could not smell, hear or really see it unless you were there to use. The workout space was laid out nicely with enough equipment. The pool had a sauna with it which I do wish was a better distance away from the actual pool area. The cleaning staff was on point thorough and friendly. The front desk staff was punctual, on top of all issues and had great follow up skills. My one set back for this place was the lack of diversity in the snack bar area. They needed some more variety here. Otherwise, well done Residence Inn in Auburn

My husband and I travel to Maine once a month. Our son just moved to the Auburn area and we have tried a few different hotels in the area, Residence Inn by Marriott is by far the best hotel experience we have had in quite a while. I wish we had more than the one night. The studio suite had everything we needed to feel at home. We will diffently stay at Residence Inn by Marriott next time we visit our son and his family.

Good property albeit a tad tired and in need of refurbishment. Hotel staff was OUTSTANDING and went out of their way to accommodate a couple requests I had. Good location in L/A area with restaurants within walking distance across the street.

Overall the hotel was very nice, the checkin lady wasn't very polite but not a deal breaker, room was very clean for the most part, there was a couple places I could tell room service had either skipped or forgot, once again not a deal breaker. Other than that the facilities were great, the room looked and felt nice, comfy bed, I will defiantly be returning next time I stay in the area.

Comfortable accommodations in Auburn

Pros: The bed was comfy, the decor was modern, and the room was clean. Good location near stores/restaurants in Auburn. Short drive to Lewiston.
Cons: When I checked in, the woman at the front desk gave me the wrong times for breakfast the following day. As a result, I ended up missing breakfast.
Location: Honestly, there isn't a lot for tourists to do in Lewiston-Auburn. Bates College, apple picking (in the fall) and skiing (in the winter).
I was in town for just one night, and I found the Residence Inn to be very comfortable. The suite consisted of a bedroom area, a living area, a small kitchenette and a bathroom. I was alone, and I had plenty of room. (If I was traveling with a family, it might have been tight.) While there, I used the fitness center, which I found to be small but adequate. It looked as though there's a nice pool as well, although I didn't use it.

Best option local stay

Location: Not a vacation destination but if your kid goes to college here or you have business in the area it's perfect.
This is my favorite option in Lewiston-Auburn. We go frequently as my son is a Bates athlete. The suites are huge and comfortable. The beds are nice, big bathrooms, the windows open, full kitchen, easy parking, centrally located with Starbucks and shows across the street. They put out a cute breakfast with good coffee. Best of all, dogs are very welcome. Some of the stuff is a little worn but the colors are bright, the rooms are sunny and it's very clean. A Ritz Carlton it's not but for the price it's fabulous.

Horrible housekeeping

Pros: The size of the room was wonderful and the lay out
Cons: HOUSEKEEPING AND SUPERVISION. Managements communication, Kelsey said that she would have someone contact me and that did not happen.
Upon getting ready to depart I always strip my room, when I removed the bedding I was DISGUSTED to find that the mattress protector and the mattress were in deplorable condition! had the manager as well as housekeeping supervisor come to our room so that we could show them the absolutely disgusting way we found our bed. We took pictures as well. I asked them to come and see so that we would not embarrass the hotel in the main lobby. The manager told me that she would have her owner and or manager contact us for a refund or to discuss this with us. Since no one could see fit to contact us regarding this matter, I had no other recourse but to post this so that other people would not be put in the same situation that my husband and I were subjected to. There was a woman's shoe under the pull out couch, food under the bed, and dust in every corner. That all paled in comparison to the disgusting bed! I am disappointed in the management for not taking the initiative to contact us. Yes, we had made the reservation through expedia, which we will also not do again, but that still does not mean that they could not have tried to do something to rectify this situation. I wanted to handle it face to face or over the phone. I feel that they dropped the ball on this one. Huge disappointment.
