Very friendly staff, that went out of their way !

Pros: The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable, food was great!
Cons: Put some soap holders in showers, as it is hard to wash up when you can not put your soap anywhere!
Location: It was a good location for us, not too far from the airport, nor from the city centre!
We arrived later then expected, the flight was delayed, but in the morning the staff and manager went out of their way to make things right. I would most gladly stay their again as it very central to what we wanted to do!

Noisy hotel in a poor area of Auckland

Pros: Restaurant and reception.
Cons: No functions should be allowed - this is a hotel where guests expect to be able to sleep. Improved noise insulation essential.
Location: There is diddly squat nearby!
We are Brits on holiday for 3 weeks in NZ. This hotel was the worst we stayed in. The room was dated but OK in terms pf size and cleanliness . But .. very noisy from the function room downstairs with music thumping loud until 2330 on a Saturday night and then the noise of other people coming and going. The restaurant food and staff were good as was reception. We wouldn't stay there again.

Was a very pleasant stay. Help to help with any of our questions and extras we needed. Best dinner I've ever had in their restaurant too!

Easy Motel to get to off the motorway

Pros: Easy to get to off the motorway. Spacious room. Good price
Cons: Maintenance update as the wear and tear is beginning to show. The decor is modern enough so it would be great to keep it looking good
Location: There is a gas station just a 2 minute walk away. Also there is a little shopping area just around the corner that has a great bakery/takeaway
The staff at reception was very pleasant and informative. I prefer designated carparks according to your room which is not the case here. The room was spacious with a twin beds pushed together and comfortable to sleep in. The decor was fairly modern although it could do with freshening up - maintenance needed, or more attention to detail e.g some lights were not working. While it was fairly clean, more attention needed in this department. Good tea, coffee facilities with a fridge Bathroom quite a good size with a shower. The room appeared to have good sound-proofing. This Motel has a restaurant and gaming room and a pool, although we did not use them.

Disappointing

The room was tiny. The bed was huge but uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin and the floors creaked all night. The door didn't close properly so it banged during the night. It was like a rabbit warren. Very confusing layout. We couldn't find the restaurant in the morning. I will not stay there again. A little bit of maintenance might go a long way.

Pros: INTERNET WAS GOOD
Location: CLOSE TO MOTORWAY. GOOD
NOT ANY SPORTS CHANNEL WE STAY IN COLD WHOLE NIGHT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT GIVE US REMOTE FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND I RANG THEM ASK FOR IT AND SAY YES TO BRING IT TO MY ROOM BUT DID NOT HAPPEN. BATROOM AND TOILET ARE TO NARROW CAN NOT MOVE OR SEAT PROPERLY HOT WATER JUG NEED CLEANING. THANK YOU

Only one aspect lets this nice little hotel down..

Pros: Bathroom was nice, bed was comfortable and huge. Staff were friendly.
Cons: Soundproofing!!! Though not sure how it could be done. Otherwise, please please tell guests that they need to be quiet after 9pm!
The hotel is average, but nice. Rooms are standard but very nice. Staff are lovely. Beds are comfortable. Food was average, though very large meals (I had room service). There is only one drawback.. but it's a major one for me.. there is ZERO soundproofing in the rooms. I stayed two nights and got maybe 3 hours sleep each night due to noise. First night a group was noisy in the hallway late at night, then someone on the opposite side was snoring all night - it literally felt like they were in bed beside me! Second night, the snoring room had two men talking (almost yelling) in Indian.. until 2am. So WARNING: take earplugs if you want to get any sleep. I noticed others have mentioned this noise issue. I should have heeded those warnings.

Thank you for your feedback Jackie. We do always ask guests to let us know of any disturbance. There is a Duty Manager available 24 hours a day for such reasons. We do manage this as much as possible as is shown by the large number of regular guests that use this hotel on a frequent basis

The room was not clean - it needed to be vacuumed properly as did the hallways around the hotel.
