Hotel was fine

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Room space more usable
Location: City centre, eating
The hotel was perfectly acequate and we had no problems Location is good with walking access to all of downtown Auckland and close to many restaurants While the room was quite large it was divided into sleeping, sitting, eating and bathroom areas, making each quite cramped and the overall room impractical

Nice hotel. Close to Aotea & Civic theater.

A very clean and tidy apartment style hotel with Kitchenette. I always use this place when staying in the city for a show or event. If you don't mind not having a view, book a room at the back of the hotel. It's quieter. More

Old Style Comfort

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Our room was spacious and included a kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Very nice for eating in the room if do desired. Location is in the heart of Auckland city centre, so there is almost everything imaginable within walking distance. Staff was very polite and helpful. This hotel also has a laundry room for the guests, and they supply free detergent.

Value for money

We had a little trouble checking in after midnight (clearing immigration and customs at the airport took longer than expected). The doors were closed and we had to knock for 30 minutes before someone could let us in. Other than that, everything went smoothly, and I appreciated that they are not stingy with their (high-quality) toiletries - they give you an extra set to take home. I would stay here again.

Cons: The sliding door for the bathroom was difficult to close and in danger of falling off its tracks. Other than that everything was great.
The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. The hotel was handy to everything with easy access to the city and the airbus stop.

Well located older hotel

This is a well located clean, quiet , well equipped hotel on Queen st with a skybus stop outside. Good internet but some furniture a bit beat up . I would stay again .

The Skybus service is the best way transfer to or from our hotel, it’s right outside and very frequent 24/7 There is also a really frequent inner city bus service that stops directly outside for just a $1. It does a loop of the city, K’rd and waterfront, a great option for budget sightseeing and you will get a feel for the city lay-out. many thanks for staying with us, Ken
