Second stay in One Month!!!

Decided to stay when our flight home was cancelled!!! Great room, great food, Great pool and gym!!! Central location !!! Great staff in restaurant!!!

Great location

Exceptional service from all staff we encountered. There is a lot of construction going on outside but the noise is minimal. We loved being just a short walk from the ferry and all the eateries around the harbour. Bed was very comfortable as were the robes and the toiletries were lovely. The only fault is that the toilet walls were pretty grubby in our room. Other than that, a lovely stay.

Have been going to the Stamford for 10 yrs

Having been going for 10 yrs should say something. It's handy to all amenities viaduct queens st shopping.also great hotel for functions We had the hotel host a pre wedding Canada's before my sons wedding and it was fantastic

Close to everything

Stamford is central to everything. Very central. Clean and in excellent condition. I travel a lot so this hotel is definitely Up there. Staff are always happy to help you

Nice hotel dealing with road construction

This lovely hotel is giving deep discounts as it deals with major road construction at its front door. My third floor room overlooked the construction site, however I arrived on a holiday and left the next morning so noise was not an issue. Rooms on higher floors might be a better option.

Good location

Pros: Large room and comfy beds
Cons: Our experience was all good
Location: Very easy walking distance to the Harbourside to catch ferries or visit the Manton restaurants down on the wharves
There are a lot of Road works and building construction happening in Albert St where the Stamford Plaza is so quite difficult to navigate to the hotel and rather noisy during the day, but this is not the hotels fault. Lovely staff and facilities. Easy to walk to the Harbourside and the Main Street.

Nice hotel to stay in

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stamford Plaza. Room was very comfortable as was our king size bed. The single bed not so much for our son. It was more like a trundle bed and could have been better. The pool, spa and sauna on the 10th floor was fantastic and we used it each night. The Wi-Fi was a little cantankerous dropping out and needing to relog in a few times. But overall a good experience. The staff were excellent from the concierge to the desk staff.

Convenient to ferries and restaurants

Pros: Modern but not spartan.
Cons: The stall showers in the superior ("standard") rooms are small and the floor was rather slippery.
It's a nice hotel, with perfectly adequate and well-furnished rooms, a decent breakfast buffet, and even a clothes line in the bathroom. As an aside, our check-in was frustrated by the fact that the room keys issued had a mag stripe only, but earlier in the day the locks had been changed to RFID only, and thus did not work. The right hand failed to communicate with the left in a keystone cops like situation

Nice Place with little extras

Pros: Clean, Modern, Nice facilities
Great experience other than being told room service would be 40 minutes so I took a bath, had to answer the door half naked 15 minutes later with a facemask on. By the time I finished my bath and got dressed my dinner was cold. Food was average at best and items mentioned on the dish in the menu missing. Check-out took longer than I would have expected.
