Extra fees, get what you pay for

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Upon check in I was informed that there would be an extra fee, as we were traveling with 3 children (5, 3, and an infant). I was unaware of this when I booked the hotel and refused to pay it. I stated that my 5 yr old would just stay in my parents room. After the clerk called their room to verify this, I was rudely told twice that the cameras would be watched to ensure I followed through. The breakfast was very small but I expected this from other reviews, but the area is also small. Room for no more than 2 families. The room was not overly dirty, But not quite clean...basically what I expected for a cheap room. The towels were very thin and had black on them. Good location...but lots of hotels to choose from...

Dear Valued Guest, I am very sorry to hear about your experience at our hotel and I do sincerely apologize. The clerk should not have been rude and let you slide on the 3rd child. We do have many other guest that lie about the number of people staying in the room and try to sneek in more people than paid for since we do charge by the number of people staying. Our hotel is an older building with limited space to expand our breakfast, storage and other area. Thank you for letting us know about the towels taken out of the room in the morning. I have started training our housekeepers so that it does not happen again and improve on the cleanliness of the rooms. Please give me another opportunity to make it right for you. If you book directly with me when you are in the Buda area again I will give you 50% off. Sincerely, Harry Patel - GM

It was alright.

Had to put down a cash deposit for my stay, and when it was time to check out the employee working didn't offer my deposit back until I had to ask her myself. Then had to wait for her to get someone to check my room for smoke before I could get my deposit back. The continental breakfast was a joke. Prob the only good thing about this hotel was that it had wifi.

Dear guest, we usually take a deposit from our guest who pay in cash for any incidentals. I can assure you that we were not trying to keep you from getting your deposit back. Continental breakfast is a light breakfast, typically consisting of coffee and rolls, which is what we serve. We are sorry for this miscommunication.

Newly renovated

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: We liked that it was very clean and in good repair.
Cons: The beds only had two pillows each. When the AC was on, the curtain above it floated up.
Location: The hotel is located right off I35 which made it very convenient to venture out.
This was our first time staying at this hotel. We found the building and other facilities in good shape. It appeared that the hotel had been newly renovated. The room was clean and nice, nothing spectacular. We had a pleasant stay, but again, nothing spectacular.

Value for your dollar

Posted Sep 9, 2016 on Hotels
The location was perfect. Close to highway 35 and many stores and restaurants close by. The hotel was clean but dated. Our room was clean except the couch was very worn and full of stains (yuck). I would not sit on it until I could get a clean sheet to cover it. The shower head was very low which was fine for me, but a challenge for my husband. The continental breakfast was lacking yogurt. Only had cereal, prepackaged donuts and bananas. The outdoor pool was very nice and clean. Overall it was quiet and comfortable. It was worth it for the money we saved on a 3 night stay.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. All feedback is important to us in order to make improvements. We have recently cleaned all our sofas so hopefully they will meet your standards next time. We do serve continental breakfast, which is usually light and "on the go" type of foods. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our outdoor pool and your stay. We would love to see you again on your next visit to Buda, Tx!

Bugs, rotted section in bathroom ceiling, yuck

Managers there are very nice but the hotel needs money invested into it. Location is good but I wouldn't stay there again under the present conditions.

Dingy motel quality

Staff was fairly friendly. Floor was soaked under tv, non smoking room smelt like smoke, and there were rust stains all over the bathroom.
