Great rates. And really enjoyed the hotel restaurant. Went for appetizers and was taken care of by a very nice gal that was working that day!

Custom needs always met!

Posted Jan 29, 2016
Pros: Very warm friendly staff with all our needs met every stay
Need no feathers, and that was anticipated and the room was ready. Needed no milk on the buffet at breakfast and that was no problem, as custom cooked eggs were done perfectly to augment the vast array of breakfast.

Posted Jan 1, 2016
dirty bed linens and sticky everywhere etc. No hot water, hair in food from room service, hair in the cups they left in the room, dirty bed linens, funky smell in the room the doorbell sounds like a fire alarm, housekeeping wakes you up at 7:30 and won't stop knocking

Couple's Getaway

Posted Dec 4, 2015
My boyfriend and I make it a point to travel every few months but had yet to travel to Austin together yet. We struggled with finding a hotel in a good area that fit our budget so we really got lucky with the Marriott. Only issue to start was that when we booked the only rooms available were double beds. To our surprise, when they realized we were on a mini romantic getaway, they moved us to a room with a king bed. It was a little thing that really impressed us as far as customer service. The hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable and the staff was awesome. We were about 20 minutes from everything in Austin which I'm told is perfect travel time for the area. This will definitely be our hotel of choice next time we are in town.

Close to Austin

Posted Dec 1, 2015
Pros: Buffet breakfast yummy with smoked salmon with all the trimmings!
Cons: Free internet and a programmable TV.
Location: You're kidding...Austin TX weird, hill country, live music, UT Coop, Texas Chili Parlor, etc..
I own property in Austin but wanted to stay in Round Rock. The Marriot location was perfect around 100 yards from N Austin at the junction of I35 and Tx45 (hill country).

Good business hotel

Posted Nov 22, 2015
Pros: Location was near my place of business.
Cons: Offer better food options at the property.
Hotel was away from Downtown but near the north businesses. Had sufficient parking and rooms were comfortable. They were offering good value during the weekend which is a bonus while visiting Austin over pricy weekends.

Good base

We stayed at the hotel to attend the famously wet US Grand Prix. The hotel is in a good location although generally guests should be mindful that the traffic all around the area is horrendous in the rush hour so don't expect to get anywhere fast. Our room was clean and generally well-equipped. It would benefit from a fridge or small chiller but otherwise good. The bathroom was clean and functional but cosy with more than one person in it. We ate in the restaurant one night. Food was good with a good range on the menu. Bar and waiting staff were fun, friendly and efficient. It is very much a lively area with sports on TV all the time so don't expect a romantic meal for 2. Reception staff were helpful and well informed.
