"Friendly B&B w/ a Beautiful View"
On top of the expected service at a B&B, the owners of La Villa Vista were incredibly generous to my wife and I during our stay when our car decided to not start after arriving. They helped with a mechanic recommendation (who was great) as well as rides when we needed them. They were friendly and laid back and made us feel right at home. The house itself is beautiful, if not a bit eccentric, with an amazing view. It felt secluded and out of the way, but was still very easy to get to and near to many Lake Travis restaurants and parks. The Oasis restaurant is nearby, and on Sunday nights has a smoking Salsa band. We had a great time.

"Top notch B&B close to South Congress. "
Excellent B&B. The cottage room was super clean, had high quality toiletries and very comfortable. Nice residential neighbourhood with tons of semi tropic foliage, singing birds and amazing aroma. Close to South Congress. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. We both loved the breakfast. Everything is home made and high quality. Home made yogurt, home baked granola (best I've ever tried) fresh organic fruit, hard boiled eggs, muffins, delicious bread and top quality jam. You don't need more than that. It was filling and very tasty. The coffee is amazing! I often dine at 5 star restaurants and I can confirm that this 5 star quality.

"Great staff"
Loved everything about this hotel, it was our first time staying here and it definitely won't be the last. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Not to far from 6th st and many other attractions. Clean room and comfy bed. And the happy hour was a plus!!! This will be my go to hotel next time I'm in Austin for sure

"Good Hotel for the Price "
Hotel is in sketchy area. However, excellent lighting in parking lot. No one - worrisome or otherwise - hanging out on the property at any time. Main entrance is past the front desk, which increases the feeling of security. Rooms open on hallway, not to the outside. Hallways smell musty, but rooms (my room at least) smelled fresh and was fine. Hotel staff friendly. Room newish, clean and in good repair. Microwave, mini-fridge and extra sink appreciated. Everything worked. Bed not too comfortable. Wireless in room internet is free; not terrifically fast but OK. Note that many economy hotels in Austin seem to add an internet access surcharge. Hotel is on the west side of I35, making it a straight shot into central Austin (but a bit roundabout on the return). Breakfast was adequate. Hotel is more than good for it's level and fabulously better than many other nearby economy hotels (judging from the Expedia reviews).
