DisappointedPosted Nov 17, 2015
We stayed on the first floor. The windows were covered with a see-through, sheer curtain which anyone from the parking lot could see right through. When we asked if they could move us to a new room because we didn't have any privacy they said they were full and gave us a sheet to cover the window. I think every room should have sufficient privacy blinds. ESP on the first floor! The trash cans still had trash from the previous guests and the carpets were falling apart, faded, and disgusting. The room itself was just shabby, old, musty, and smelly. It looked nothing like the pictures portrayed online. In addition to that, the walls we're paper thin and we were delightfully woken up at 6:45 am by loud banging which in fact turned out to be a treadmill in the gym on the other side of our room. Call me crazy, but not exactly a great location for a gym! Anyway, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I've stayed in nicer hotels and paid less money. The only reason we stayed at this place was because it was recommended to us because it was near a wedding venue that we were attending. Big Mistake -Very Disappointed

Great location, but bring ear plugsPosted Nov 15, 2015
Great location and staff, but poor sleep quality. I'm a light sleeper and the walls are so thin I could hear the guest next door snoring loudly all night. You can also hear conversations, TV at 4am and dogs barking as it is a pet friendly hotel. Typically in a hotel you'll hear muffled sounds from adjoining rooms, but in this one you hear literally everything.

Clean, accomodating and friendlyPosted Nov 12, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms. Friendly staff
Cons: Dining room was freezing. Vents located directly under tables. Made it uncomfortable.
Location: Located right off highway. Applebees and Chili's directly within walking distance.
Front Desk very friendly and nice. Breakfast was better than expected.

came for a funeralPosted Nov 5, 2015
We came for a funeral which wasn't until !;30 in the afternoon and the hotel let us have a late check out so that we wouldn't just sit in a car. The hotel is in a fabulous location next to a river and walking trail.

Nice hotel that's conveniently location.Posted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: I like the location. It's close to the highway and near the university. People are friendly too.
Cons: Having the lock on the door working properly would have helped. I was tired and didn't enjoy going back to the lobby 3 times.
Location: The hotel is located close to Interstate 35 in a professional business area. It's close to Southwestern University and the town center.
Staff was friendly & helpful. My room door wouldn't unlock with the key cards I was given. On the 3rd set, the hotel clerk came up with me to see what was going on. She agreed that it was the door not the cards & let me in. Overall, my stay was pleasant. The breakfast was good and the coffee excellent.

Close to the center of town, but not too closePosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: I enjoyed the decor--the choice of furnishings in the public areas and in the rooms was very much to my taste. The breakfast buffet was varied.
Cons: As noted above, a word to the wise about location of refrigerator and microwave would be helpful.
Location: We attended a poetry festival held at the Library, tried local restaurants, and strolled Blue Hole Park. I photographed the picturesque downtown area.
The staff was what impressed me most. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The workers who make up the rooms and the women who keep the breakfast buffet well supplied work quietly and unobtrusively. The only complaints I might have are that it took us several days to locate the mini-fridge and microwave. We assumed the console was simply storage for clothing. A note on the desk or the console itself might have aided us. Also, though the staff did an excellent job keeping our bath and our beds tidy, we found old food in the refrigerator (once we found the refrigerator) that had not been removed after the previous occupant. The first morning we found our hair dryer was broken, but it was immediately replaced as soon as we reported it. I cannot commend the staff enough.

Nice Hotel, very friendlyPosted Sep 11, 2015
My wife and I did not have time in the morning before we left to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but the person at the front desk insisted that we take some fruit to enjoy in our way out. :-)

Best Western Plus turned out to be a real PLUSPosted Aug 28, 2015 on Hotels
I was very satisfied. Very clean and staff was great, particularly Mr. Patel who just happens to be the owner and was on duty the morning after our first night's stay. I would highly recommend and the location couldn't be better for a house-hunting trip to Sun City. There's an Applebee's across the street for those too tired to get out on the road and look for a dinner spot after a long drive.
