Needs management attention

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Secluded
Cons: Better management, then they would know the true condition of their facilities and employees. It was a disappointment.
Location: There was lots of shopping as that was part of this trip. Lots of great places to eat near by. Easy access to where ever we wanted to go.
Free breakfast had ants. Room had bugs. At check in I was approached by a man wanting to sell perfume, right there in the lobby and the man checking me in didn't seem to care. I called ahead to make sure hot tub and pool were still working as this was a major factor in our trip. It really wasn't a hot tub, quote from the staff as I was looking at it and wouldn't let the kids in, it wasn't even filled up with water, just trash, leaves, etc. we were asked to keep our kids quite while at the pool as they had a sick guest that was saying close to the pool. The six & eight year old girls were just laughing and having fun with each other as us parents watched them having fun. The pull out sofa was so tiny that both the girls couldn't fit on it to sleep, and I specifically asked them if it was big enough for both of them. They took away that fun & excitement we had built up and it and they did that the moment we arrived. After a three hour drive with two kids the last thing I wanted to do was talk to a salesman about perfume as soon as I stepped into their lobby.

Hard to find, but worth the effort

The entry to the hotel is difficult to find from the interstate, but once there it is a very pleasant Comfort Suites Hotel.

Fine

Although my bathtub did not have a shower curtain and the closet door fell off the staff addressed the issues quickly. The breakfasts were wonderful.

Convenient but disappointing amenities

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Traveling with 2 adults and 3 children (ranging from 14-4 yrs of age). Disappointing aspects of facilities and condition: -while not all travelers may be interested in pool / hot tub, after being on the road for a few hours, we were looking forward to relaxing a bit in the pool and hot tub. The pool was "closed for the season"....during mid-April? Further, staff indicated a recent rain also precluded use of the pool. Seems that a quick skimming of the pool surface would suffice to make the pool usable but seems even that was too much to ask. Regarding the hot tub, "it is broken and has been broken for awhile" was the staff response. -the room had two queen beds and a pull-out bed in the couch (smaller couch - love seat?). The 'mattress' on pull-out bed was terrible! One could feel the spring coils through the material. Did not use the pull-out bed. -room was situated on side facing interstate so we could hear traffic (and a train nearby). i'll take partial blame for this since i was remiss in requesting a room opposite the interstate.

Really awful. Not worth the money paid. Stuffy place. Windows don't close or lock. Staff looked and acted nervous. Checked in, then got a call from the front desk to confirm who I was...

Convenient to highway in Round Rock

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Stayed 2 nights on business in Austin area. Hotel is somewhat dated, carpet, fixture. Not very inviting and no extras. Could have stayed at a competitor and saved $20 a night. Bathroom had strong urine odor so glad I packed my slippers. Asked to have bathroom floor mopped after first night but it was not done. Would not return.

Needs updating

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The location was great for where we needed to stay.
Cons: New carpet, paint, just a general updating.
I've stayed at this hotel over the last several years . It's beginning to need updating. I really don't think we will stay there again.
