Disappointing check in.

I reserved this for my wife so she would have a place to stay after a funeral in San Antonio. She arrived late and the desk clerk just stated at her while she stood at the door instead of coming over to open it so she could check in. There was no greeting, welcome, thank you for staying, or other courtesy extended during check in. The clerk was essentially rude. This is not the typical Marriott experience and is disappointing that it occurred. This clerk needs to be helped to find a new job.
