NO water have no fun

Posted Aug 25, 2015
We had no running water until after midnight. Staff gave us bottle waters at no charge. Although they had no control over water problem, they could've been more attentive all the people who stay at this hotel. When we checked out of the hotel They did'nt even appolized for all the inconvinences. We really did not have a choice but to stay. Since our daughter was moving in to TX state the very next day.

Big room, comfy bed. With the Convention Center right there, the pool was a little crowded at night, but I went in the morning and had it all to myself. I would definitely stay there again.

We have 5 grandchildren with us after leaving Schliterbahn. The hotel was very friendly and brought extra bedding for the kids. It was roomy and very nice.

Don't stay there is not like your regular Embassy

Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Staff need to be more professional
I was there last weekend and we booked a room with Two queen beds (it was more expensive than the King) we got there and the General Manager told us that we can only get a King room. We called expedia and they got the same answer because they oversold the hotel with like 600 middle school students that were staying 5 at each room. The Front desk staff were so unprofessional that a lot of people were complaining about there attitude. The room smell like a bathroom (Room 418) the bathroom sink was cracked , the Air conditioning unit was working at 50% of the capacity it was hot at the room, one of the elevators got stock in between the 2nd and 3th floor with 12 people on them, thats what happends when you oversell the hotel by 100% of the capacity.

We really liked this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family. The two negatives were the breakfast and the "premium" suite snacks. They serve breakfast from 6a-9a during the week. By 8:30, most of the food was gone. The line for omelettes was very long. There were no clean tables. There wasn't any staff clearing away dishes so that we could sit down. We had to go to management to have tables cleaned and more food brought out. This wouldn't have been so bad if it was on one day. But, this was every day. Also, the "premium" suite snacks are in a vending machine that you enter a code. This was empty very often.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: the room and the facility was beautiful and very clean
Cons: the hotel need to prepare for the amount of guest they are accommodating for their complimentary breakfast. The hotel did ran out of food.
Location: location was great for tubing in San Marcos.
The room appeared to be clean however at departure time when we were making sure nothing was left behind we found a shoe and a reusable water bottle that must have been left behind by previous guest. The hotel offers complimentary drinks but only had one bartender for mix drinks and one for beer and the hotel was completely booked so there were a lot of people in line to get drinks. It was worth the wait in line!

Great stay.

Great location, wonderful staff, always enjoy the cocktail hour and hot breakfast! Only down side is the $8-$12 a day parking fee they add to the final bill. They are the only building and parking lot on site. There's nothing close in proximity but they charge a parking fee? Don't see the point. There's the convention center attached to it, I guess that's their reasoning.
