Misleading

The photo indicated a large size pool when in fact it is the size of a hot tub. Had to go to deep eddy public pool. Also very loud at night with sirens on 35.

I wasn't pleased.

We checked into our hotel and at no point did they mention there was constrction on the floor above us. For the first 2.5 hours of trying to relax from our drive we heard non-stop hammering. I understand renovations need to be done but it would be appreciated if a room change could have been offered. The staff also failed to mention the nightly parking cost. Yet again I don't mind but a heads up at either check in or when the valets take your car would be appreciated. Glad I didn't go to hard the night before and I was able to cover it. I travel on a budget and plan so things like suprise bills are an inconvience. The last complaint I have on our stay is that our bathtub had a leak and we had to pay our towels on the floor every time we needed to shower. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable once the construction stopped.

Close to downtown

Perfect for our trip that was centered on being in the downtown area. Although the area right by the hotel is a little sketchy (its a block off of I-35) we never felt unsafe. Nightlife is right around the corner and the hotel is bright and clean. The hotel staff are great.

Disappointing

Pros: Location to downtown. Walking distance.
Cons: Customer service and cleanliness. Just because it's a Hilton doesn't mean they have high standards.
Used this hotel because it was a Hilton. But, we didn't get a room w/ a 'view' as promised (they said they were all out even though we had reservations and had prepaid). Part of the carpet was still wet from the previous tenants. The toilet had not been flushed. We called the front desk and asked for a different room but they were less than concerned and said they couldn't do anything to help us. The only upside of this hotel is it's location to the downtown area. Otherwise, do not set your expectations too high for this hotel.

it was nice and close to the convention centre.

Pros: clean and quite
Cons: the drop-off area is awful. cars right outside main entrance doors. not much room for loading and unloading. plus, entrance is not visible from str.
Location: is near downtown and 6th street which make it good. I didn't travel beyond there so don't know what else is around there.
It was a good stay. didn't spend much time in the room. the wifi I was told to use didn't work very well so I had to ask and they got me going with another connection. It was a good stay in Austin.

"Your booking site overbooked us"

We got 2 rooms to celebrate my birthday in Austin. When we showed up they gave us 2 rooms with queen beds instead of 2 rooms with King beds as requested. The rooms were given at the same price and no discount was given. When I asked why the front desk Person said "your booking company overbooked us". When we told him it was my birthday he said there will be a surprise for us. There were never any surprises. We also never saw the housekeeper the whole entire stay. the hotel itself was beautiful and was located within walking distance from 6th street. I would not recommend the hotel due to the service.

This hotel was terrible, the window to the room faced an enclosed atrium so no sunlight came into the room. Light sucked, the bed was fair at best. One of the worst hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Glad I paid 250+ dollars per night for that crap, I would have been better sleeping in a car. They should clearly state that half the rooms don't get any sunlight what so ever. The only redeemable thing about this property is the location is decent.
