The Texas State Capitol building in Austin. Some beautiful architecture nestling within serene park grounds. It is here that the laws of Texas are hammered out, some of which can be quite controversial. You can tour the building most days, either on your own or with a tour guide. Be sure to spend some time looking at the finer details inside the building itself, such as the ornate door hinges and wall decorations which include portraits of all the Texas governors.
