I forgot my wallet in my room then when I went to go pick it up there was money missing. The front desk woman claim she was the only one that went inside of the room so the money just walked out the wallet. The woman was being very rude about it.

I felt comfortable in my room. It was clean and quiet. The gas stations around the hotel are super sketchy and I did not feel safe. The only issue I had with the actual hotel was the elevator was broken my first night and I was on the top floor.

My hotel room was as expected and enjoyed the bed and slept well. That was all great. My check in was not. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for someone to arrive at the desk. It was around 8pm- ish. I had to call sonesta customer service to see if they could reach the hotel i was standing in. There was no one working and 3 other people came down looking for a desk person as well. When she finally arrived , I told her I had been waiting for someone to check in. She didn’t apologize, infact she ignored me and asked for my id. Upon that , she didn’t give me any guidance on where my room was or info at all. She just handed me my keys. Worst customer service. This person is essentially representing the hotel and did a POOR job.

The ice machine on either floor did not work, only the one on the fourth floor. The mini fridge froze over and could not be used. House keeping never took out our trash or gave us new towels. I was never told that they would need a $50 deposit for each night. Only one elevator was working amd some how this is a 4 star rated hotel. But mostly the king size bed is not a king size bed.

We had a hard time communicating with the front desk staff. There was no freezer section in our room refrigerator, so I asked for our blue ice packs to be frozen for us, and the manager joked about charging $20 for that! The things we expected in the breakfast bar, such as butter/margarine and peanut butter, were not available and we received puzzled looks when asking for them. There was no guest laundry. The elevators really need to be replaced, and the sign in the elevator says parts are on order but have not yet arrived. Visited Austin for a concert and while the hotel was great I picked it for its alleged 7 minute distance from the venue and that was not the case. However, aside from that it was beyond great. Staff was super accommodating and nice. It was nice and clean and there wasn’t any disturbing guests or any issue. Definitely would stay here anytime I come back to Austin.

The staff was nice and helpful, the place was spotless and welcoming, and the rooms were very roomy and clean. The continental breakfast was great with many different things to choose from.

We had a great experiance with the exception of the elevators not working. Only 21 door was working and we had to use the stairs on 2 occasions going up. The staff were awesome and our room was perfect.

We picked this hotel for the full buffet breakfast. Got down to have breakfast and we had the option of a hard boiled egg, toast, coffee. Spoke with the front desk thinking we were late and missed someof the breakfast options. It was 8:30am and breakfast went until 10am. Was told management changed the breakfast, showed a list of things that they do have now but still none of that was out to have today. Manager was not due to arrive until 10am and we need to get on the road and now stop for breakfast as well. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

Water pressure is extremely low. The elevator kept going out and had to use the stairs. The dryers are so loud you can hear them on the top floor. The heater was loud as well and kept waking me up.

Very affordable
This is my third time booking at this Sonesta.It is very family budget friendly.I like that breakfast is included and that the rooms are large.I like that you don't have to pay for parking and its located up a small hill next to a seafood restaurant.You cant beat the price!
