Lower falls inMcKinney Falls State Park were so beautiful. Unfortunately we couldn't get to the upper falls due to flood damage #takeahike Easy hike for everyone and depending on when you visit the park rangers may or may not allow you to go into the water due to high levels of bacteria. Cherry pie doughnut holes, known as Cherry Bombs. Cake doughnut holes topped with cherry glaze and sprinkled with cinnamon, sugar and cake-mix. Visiting McKinney Falls in the dead of winter is actually a surprisingly fun adventure. With all the foliage gone, you feel like you are on the moon while walking across the expanse of rocky boulders. #takeahike More Order at the food truck and dine under the tent. Line moves pretty fast. The pork ribs were excellent. The moist brisket was a bit peppery, but a dose of BBQ sauce cuts it nicely for an overall pleasing flavor. Come early before they run out of brisket! Stop by Gourdough's across the street for some happy July 4th. Yummy cheap pho open till 4 am on Saturdays 1am all week :) #REVOLT on the side of Home Slice pizza. #Austin #streetart Met up with one friend who we met through USA Track and Field of Albany at the Friehaufer's Women Run. Carmin and her hubbie live and work in the Austin area. Carmin is an elite athlete who had run all over the world. ahh foliage season! #springfun

Beautiful spot in Austin Great outdoor dining space & good place to catch up with friends on South Congress in Austin, TX. Try the octopus - it's delish! #FoodieFinds. #AustinTX One of the most photographed spots in Austin This bus was parked out the front of the Broken Spoken on South Lamar for years. I heard that it was moved in 2012. Shame. Great find. Found this cool #stikman off of South Congress. #Austin #streetart I miss her. #austin #streetart Someone made this sign and bolted it to a No Parking sign pole. The Boardwalk Trail at Ladybird Lake in Austin is an awesome alternative ToDo.
Great view of the city skyline, trees, turtles, ducks, fish, bikers and joggers abound.
The Boardwalk is on the South side of the river and takes at least an hour to walk, you can cross the bridge and return on the trail on the North side of the river if you want. #localgem

#texas This independent bookstore is one of a kind. The setting is relaxed and the staff knowledgeable. Pick up a quirky genre find or a classic first edition, flip through the art posters and prints, and spend an enjoyable hour or two lost in the cozy shelving. You'll have a hard time leaving with just one special item. Vietnamese food + French desserts + the cutest little building you've ever seen. What more could you want in a cafe? A must when visiting Austin, Texas! #austin #texas #cafe #vietnamese #french #coffee An hour and a half drive from Austin and close to Fredericksburg. But so worth the hike up The Enchanted Rock and beautiful views! Meditation, spiritual guidance, oils, teas, and much more Don't leave Austin without trying a big fat doughnut. Unique flavors that might have been ripped out of a cupcake recipe book. For example, the Son of a Peach doughnut is peach filled with cinnamon, sugar and cake-mix topping. Yum!
New location on 1st Street, a short 5min drive from downtown. The Kennel, mini dog assortment & cold Thirsty Planet Thirsty Goat Amber to wash it all down. The Snack Bar in South Congress
My absolute favorite restaurant in Austin. Amazing atmosphere, usually live music, awesome food (fresh, organic, all that good stuff). Awesome place
Water falls and giant spiders lol Onions by Onion Creek. Allen's is a great experience in SoCo. Escape the heat for a few minutes by stopping in to try on a few pair of boots. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. The selection at Allen's Boots in SoCo. Lots of affordable and stylish boots to be had, but which caught me eye? The ones I couldn't afford - red crocodile belly for $2000 and black python for $900. Sigh. Maybe next time! Unique is the perfect description for this relaxed and quirky bookstore. There is something for everyone - literally. Art, classics, comics, posters, books of every genre and topic you could imagine. The quintessential independent bookseller. I had the classic - vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream icing. I wanted to go back for the sweetberry and the tuxedo, but it didn't happen. Have one for me! Great street art I saw tonight on South First. There is a series on the utility poles in front of Elizabeth St. Cafe and Gordoughs. #austin #streetart Upper McKinney Falls #Bogus #sticker #Austin #streetart Cute halo kitty in front of the Alamo Drafthouse. #Austin #streetart A weathered rabbit sticker behind the Continental Club. #austin #stickers South Congress, Austin Austin is chock-full-o quirky food trucks, literally hundreds spread throughout the city. This was one of my favs (that I saw). It's right in South Congress. Very cool wall. I was there to help the guy wash it and I was able to be the first one to sign it. I walked past this bungalow a few times when I was staying in Austin. Never got a chance to talk to the owner or find out the story.
If you know the details, fill me in! #TakeAHike along Austin's Hike and Bike Trail on a boardwalk east of Congress Ave (and downtown) to enjoy beautiful views on the city skyline. From downtown do ~3 mile loop between Congress Ave and I-35 bridges. Pictured hikers on the south side of the river boardwalk, less than a mile from Congress Ave bridge #AustinTX #ATX The coffee here was amazing and the #takeahike through double arches in Utah Amazing pizza for a great price! Look up on SoCo and you'll see this #REVOLT. #Austin #streetart Virgen de Liberty #Austin #streetart Downtown Austin trailer park eatery. Awesome tacos and Queso to die for!
