Nice Suite

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: The price.
Cons: An exterior face lift.
The orginial room I was in was horrible (standard room), but I requested to chane rooms and they put me in the suite which was really nice. The outside of the hotel looks bad, but the remodels on the inside are pretty nice.

Horrible Hotel to stay at

Posted Nov 17, 2015
Horrible stay. Remote batteries missing, light bulbs missing from all lamps, and to to mention waking up in the middle of the night to 4 bed bug. One on my face, 2 on my pillow, and 1 by my legs. I would never stay here again

Worst hotel experience ever

Posted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Tear the building down to the ground and completely re-build. Hire and train all new staff.
Location: Plenty of other hotels within two mile radius that would suit much better.
I understand crime rate may be high in that part of Austin, but being buzzed into the lobby while waiting with what appeared to be recently paroled felons is an extreme. The employee behind the counter had only worked there a week and should've never been left alone. I had to argue vehemently for him not to charge my credit card as I presented paperwork that clearly indicated the hotel had already been paid by a third party travel company. Once finally checked in, the room was filthy, smelled horribly of smoke (non-smoking room), bathroom door was so warped and expanded it would not close, sheets smelled as if they had not been laundered in weeks, a/c did not work, vanity sink did not drain and noise from other occupants prevented any form of sleep. Although paid for two nights, we immediately left at first light and paid again for another hotel just a couple miles away. And only paid $35 more for a Marriott. Will never, ever stay in a Red Roof Inn again. Rather sleep in my rental car on the side of the freeway.

No. Just no.

The hotel was entirely too expensive for what it was. $344 for two nights and then they charged my card twice. Thumbs down.

barely ok

Posted Oct 28, 2015
Pros: Nothing. Stayed for Formula 1 weeekend. Average of $120 per night talk about rip off for a hotel that normally barely is worth $49 a night.
Cons: Coffee machine in ALL rooms, bag for the ice bucket (did NOT look very nice inside the bucket), clean the floors better.
Nothing fancy, not impressed but didn't expect much. Would be nice if you got a plastic bag for the ice bucket, if the TV wasn't super grainy on all channels. And uhm how about a coffee pot in the room? Have to go down to the reception for cup coffee in the morning sucks.

A little scared for my safety

Posted Oct 12, 2015
It was really trashy. There was literally trash in the grass and streets. There was even a couple of glass beer bottles in the middle of the parking lot. People were hanging out in the parking lot and a few were even sitting in their cars with the engine off for a while and I got the vibe that some of the people loitering probably didn't even have a room rented. It was just really weird. On the plus side the cleaning staff does a great job you can tell they really work hard to make the room clean and tidy. I also really liked how the restroom was handy cap accessible, something a lot of hotels overlook.
