The hotel was ok for a one night stay especially if you don't plan on spending time in the room. It was a little sketchy... They make a copy of your credit card behind the statement. I just feel that's not safe. Especially if something happens. I didn't like how they charge a $50 deposit in case you damage the room. I didn't damage the room and I don't get my $50 back,

Old and run-down

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: convenient location, nothing else
Cons: Total renovation, or maybe it's a tear down situation.
This hotel is located in a rundown stretch adjacent to I-35 near UT-Austin. The room i stayed in was severely in need of renovation and upkeep. The beds are old and uncomfortable, and I wish I would have brought my own bedding. Though it was listed as a non-smoking room, there appeared to be years of smoke steeped into the old paint and fixtures of the room. The lights and alarm clocks were not plugged in, I had to move the bed to find an outlet. The entire room needs a complete renovation; matted dirty carpet, thread bare furniture, grime on light switches and walls, poor lighting, general disregard for maintenance of room fixtures. Even with the discounted expedia rate, i felt I was overpaying considerably.

Liked the closeness to the college

Cons: The exterior of the hotel. It is looking old.
Liked the fact I didn't have to drive to class with all the Austin traffic.

Great location

Very close to downtown. Felt safe staying there and the staff was great. Looks like they just painted the place and did some upgrades. Would have no problem staying there again

Nunca Mais!

Posted Jun 5, 2015 on Hotels
Viajei a negócios, fiquei apenas 1 dia. Graças a Deus! O pessoal do hotel é mal humorado, e o bairro, por ficar em uma hwy tem vizinhança duvidosa, já na primeira noite assim que chegamos ouvimos um tiroteio lá fora. Quarto muito ruim mesmo e cheirava a mofo! Never Again!

close to university

Good location for university, but right next to freeway. Noisy and rundown, mold in bathroom, bathroom door did not close, good shower, nice staff, minimal breakfast.

It's a sketchy motel but cheap and within walking distance to the university. I'd only choose here again if I were on a really tight budget.
