Too close to HWY and low income ares

Fine for quick, cheap reservation at last minute but with more time to plan would choose other areas. For early flights, LQ is closer and good quality/value.

I'd Stay There Again

Pros: The breakfast buffet was always being tended-to, and the people who work there could not have been nicer. Free WIFI, too!
Cons: They could update the rooms by making available a USB outlet to charge the phone and pad.
The Suites are off I 35. Just a short car ride to anywhere in Austin.

The staff were AMAZING! So hospitable and helpful. It was our first trip to Austin and they answered all our questions and offered great suggestions. The breakfast was quite tasty, especially the Texas shaped waffles. We will definitely stay again!!

Beds very hard and sheets very rough holiday inn beds and sheets can't be beat. Hair in bed when folded covers back

convenient to south austin fun

Pros: Convenience of location. Friendly staff.
Cons: This hotel accomplishes it's implied mission very well.
Location: Zilker park (Barton Springs pool, boating on Lady Bird Lake, biking, jogging, etc.), South Austin food/night life, downtown business/fun.
Location is great. It's near the intersection of 2 major highways, so it's very convenient for getting around-- if you have a car. It's not really in a spot that's convenient for public transportation. You can get to the bus stop, but it's not that convenient in 100 degree Texas heat. It's not a super luxurious hotel, but it's not meant to be. Perfect spot for a short to medium length family trip or business trip.

Not as good as we had hoped

Pros: Kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, and sink. The room also had a sofa. And the air conditioning worked well.
Cons: Breakfast and larger bathroom sink area.
Location: The location was convenient.
Even though we had called to notify the hotel of a late check-in, the hotel was at full occupancy when we checked in at around 6:30pm. We had paid for a room with King bed, but was disappointed that we had to get a room with double-full beds. Because our stay was going to be pretty lengthy, we had to do a check-out and check-in the next morning for a room with a King bed. The first provided breakfast did not go well. They ran out of food and was not restocking items (such as scrambled eggs) even though there was still half an hour left before the cut-off time. The quality got worse and worse during our stay. So we decided to go out to breakfast on the last 2 days of our stay. Also the clean-staff did not clean our room one day. While it was nice to have a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator (which did not function properly), the bathroom sink area is pretty small. There was very little room to put two people's toileteries items. It was really nice to find some paper plates and plastic utensils in the microwave, but the items were never replaced after we used it. We had expected more from a Marriott's property.

Nice hotel, easy access to highway.

Pros: Overall, I liked this hotel and would stay there again.
Cons: Breakfast could use some type of meat entrée, like sausage, bacon, etc.
Location: Easy on and off the highway. Close to a lot of eating places on Congress ...
The room is spacious with a separate seating area and a kitchen/sink/microwave area which was a Plus. The bathroom is also spacious. We had an issue with the tub not draining very well. Maintenance did try to fix it but still draining slow. We only stayed for 2 nights, so it was OK. Free Breakfast was also a Plus. However, they only had carb food like waffles, bread, muffins, bagels... they did have scrambled eggs, but no other type of meats.

Austin Weekend

It was Father's Day weekend so there were many families staying. Good Access to Highways to get everywhere. Bad thing was that UBER is no longer allowed in Austin and I was counting on it when I booked my stay. Cabs are not safe drivers here so we ended up fighting traffic and paying parking fees every where we went. The hotel has a shuttle service which would be good if you are going to the convention center, which we were not. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean.
