Beautiful historic hotel. So happy that we were able to stay at The Driskill! The staff was friendly & helpful. The convenient location allowed us to walk to restaurants and events. I hope to return again! I do feel that it was a bit expensive, but that seems to be the case in downtown Austin.

It is a beautiful and historic property in the heart of Austin downtown. Some minor quirks with the hotel being built over a hundred years ago, but I would stay again. Super friendly staff, great food and cocktails, and an amazing breakfast from the bakery.

This is a very historic hotel. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Local to all the restaurants and bars. Really enjoyed our stay here.

I love this historic property! The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Be sure to take the free tour when you’re staying there! We ate breakfast in the café both mornings, and it was so delicious.

Liked the entertainment, the cafe and the decor. Did not like that drain on tub was not working effectively. The mattress had huge valleys from being too worn. The drapes didn’t fully close and let in too much light. The safe key did not work properly—it was jamming.

Built in 1886 it has a 19th century elegance. This does come with some quirks, but, the rooms had a comfortable bed and workable bathroom. The hotel itself has live music in the bar/resturant, a decent place to eat breakfast (hotel prices), very efficient valet (expensive) and has high tea on most weekends (must reserve early). Overall this is not a bargain experience, but, pulls off old school elegance quite nicely. The location is great if you want enjoy 6th street, it is not in the middle of dirty 6th, but, just a few blocks walk away so you can enjoy the nightlife and retire to a calm quiet area to rest.

I have stayed at many hotels and The Driskill is by far the best stay ever! The valet was amazing and made it so easy, the front desk was so nice and quick to assist. The room was beautiful as was all of the historic features, staying in a museum with the full experience at my fingertips. Will be staying any time I am in Austin

We stayed for only one-night. This was our second stay at the Driskill. It's a beautiful historic hotel that is well-maintained and still feels luxurious. It has the amenities you would expect from such a hotel, and the dining options are very good. The staff is friendly and professional. I look forward to staying again.

My wife and I stay at The Driskill every year before the craziness of Christmas with family coming over. The hotel is so beautiful during the holodays with its gigantic tree in the lobby. Locals know about it and flock in to take photos and seflies in front of the tree. It is just lovely. My only concern this time was things in my room just felt dingy. Just because this is a historical building doesnt mean it shouldn't feel clean. The bed was also rock hard. I hate leaving a mediocre review because the hotle is lovely.

Lots of history here. Great location for 6th street bar scene. Hotel bar is amazing. Prices of hotel, restaurant, and bar are high. Had to do elevator swap each time, but it is an older building, so i get it.
