One nighter for next day event.

Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Located 6 minutes from the event I attended on the next morning.
Cons: Carpet smelled like it had just been moped! We did not want to take our shoes off even at bedtime. Show facility as it really is on the web-sight.
Location: Nothing close. Desk clerk did not offer any solutions. We did ask where to eat and about shopping. Nothing offered.
Internet view is not what we saw. More of a trucker type facility. Smoking section in middle of long, long hallway to the free breakfast that we had to pass through - no table clothes as shown - rather small area next to check in facility. It served us the one night however, I would not recommend it to my friends unless it was the last resort which is what it was for me. There was a hugh Grape Festival going on in Ashtubula with a lot of parade groups housed in the area thus the shortage of rooms. Austinburg is a very small community with no downtown so to speak. Few eating places other than the truck convenience area. Reminder to me to plan ahead.

Time for serious Cleanup, Paintup, Fixup.

Posted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Clean it up. Fix it up. Paint it up.
Location: Nothing special. It's right on the interstate among other motels, gas stations and restaurants.
Lacks exterior security...no room key/card was required to enter the building from a parking lot. Room carpets haven't been cleaned in a long time. The soles of my wife's bare feet got dirty when she walked on the carpet from the desk to the bathroom and back. Hot water in the bathtub dripped constantly & couldn't be shut off. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily and a motorcycle convention was in progress and - as it turned out - loud music was coming from the restaurant/bar (near our room) when we checked in at about midnight. Had it been earlier in the evening and our reservation guarantee not already charged to our credit card we'd probably have driven a few more miles and tried to find a room elsewhere. For us, it was the old "any port in a storm". Can't recommend this place to anyone.

Kind of in the middle of nowwhere.

Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Not much...
Cons: The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Could have offered a little more.
Location: Nothing to do near by.
Was just staying there so that we could go to Conneaut. Had no choice as this was the closest hotel that had rooms.

Not the wisest place to stay

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was so-so. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Update interior, cleaner rooms.
Location: Near the 90, but other than that, nothing to do nearby. Had to go into Asthabula for shopping.
Ramada was very outdated...old carpet, rusty lamps, dingy bathrooms, stains on linens. Workers were friendly, but not what I would expect from a Ramada. TV had analog channels- very blurry, a few channels to choose from. Room didn't even have plastic cups to drink water from. Coffee pot was dirty.

Old tired hotel with VERY smelly room

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: The location is good for my use visiting family close by. I thought the room rate was acceptable until I entered the room. You get what you pay for.
Cons: Needs to remodel. As noted above, this is an old, tired hotel with lots of odors.
I was there for 3 nights and quite honestly would have left after the first night but there were no other rooms available at the other hotels close by. My room smelled terrible. Ended up going to a grocery store and buying a can of Glade to try to remedy the situation. The hot water pressure was almost non-existent in the morning. Basically took a luke warm to coldish shower. This hotel is old and tired. It is in desperate need of a remodel. At least new carpeting and room fixtures to remove the terrible odor.

The breakfast could be better.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: See above
Location: Wine and walleye. Geneva on the lake. Restaurants in the area.
The location was good and it was quiet in the area. The room needs to be updated. They need new wallpaper and the smell in the hotel could be fresher.

What to say, it's an older Ramada.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Cons: The breakfast.
Night clerk overshared her personal issues, the room was ok. Most disappointing was that breakfast was advertised as Buffet, but in reality is Continental. The food was cheap and stale. Expected more for $100/night.

Very outdated. TV had about 10 analog channels. Lamps were rusty, coffee pot dirty. They did not provide plastic cups for drinking water even though they had an ice bucket. Room was for 4 people and we had 2 towels for shower. Never received new shampoo or soap for our 2nd night.

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: Geneva on the lake
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The room was dark, dirty, and covered in dust. There was mold all over the shower. There were large stains on the bed linens as well as on the carpeting. The lamps were all rusted. I will never book a hotel room with Ramada ever again.
