Conveniently close to downtown

Posted Jun 28, 2017
Pros: Location and the excellent breakfast. The room very nicely set up and made us feel right at home.
Cons: Concern about personal safety in bathrooms, which regularly have slippery floors and no handles in the tub.
Location: Do not miss a gondola ride. There are good restaurants with varieties of sea food dishes and several souvenir shops.
The hotel facilities are close to downtown. You can walk to the city canals and enjoy the other points of attraction. It is worth doing a gondola ride.

nice venue shame about the staff

Posted May 10, 2017
stayed there for two nights while on business. very clean and convenient at reasonable price! However, the staff did not speak English and very unfriendly. The breakfast is continental. I will stay there again for sure!

A small, clean hotel.

The stay was just OK. The hotel is located half-way between the railway station and the city centre (15 minutes walking). In general Aveiro is a small town so you can get everywhere walking up to 20 minutes. The staff was nice, the room was clean. Unfortunately, there was no kettle in the room but I guess it may be rather a national feature as Portugal is defnitely not a tea-drinking country (remember to be very clear when ordering tea (say "black tea"), otherwise you will get a chamomile, a mint or some other herbal infusion.

Had a great time. It was close to the gorge, shopping and the hotel was lovely. Great staff too
