Overall, our stay was good, however, our check-in experience was terrible. We arrived at 9pm on a Saturday night. The front desk attendant reviewed our passports and then said that my 14-year-old daughter was noted as a child in their system, but as she was 14 she was considered an adult and I would need to pay the difference between adult and child rates for her (nearly $500 for a 5-night stay). I booked our trip through Expedia and put in ages when booking the airfare. I was not asked to enter ages again when booking the resort, so I'm not sure if her being listed as a child occurred on Expedia's side of the transaction or the resort's side. Either way, the resort would NOT consider letting us check in until they had their extra money. This resulted in a phone call to Expedia, a wait of 33 minutes on hold and then the Expedia person not being able to help. I was told by Expedia to pay the additional money and they would refund my card. This did eventually happen, but after a long day of travel a 2-hour check-in process at the front desk was not appreciated. I believe the front desk could have handled this much more professionally, given that we were going to be there for 5 days. They could have let us check-in and they could have resolved it with Expedia the next day.

From check in to check out, this place was a great experience. We only stayed 3 nights in early March 2017, but wish it was longer. The rooftop pool, bars and restaurants are the highlight of the hotel, and they cant be beat in PDC. The rooms are also were well designed and appointed, cleanliness was definitely not an issue. The streets may get a bit noisy at night from the party-goers, but its to be expected. Having access to the beach house is also a perk. I definitely look forward to returning.

Room was amazing, spent probably 70% of my time enjoying the swim out (definetely worth the extra cost). Food was great. Staff was very nice and helpful. I wished the nighclub was open each night - didn't get to enjoy it on any of my nights. Wish the beach was nicer.

I would definitely go back again! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The staff really treat you like royalty and for my birthday they used palm fronds to write happy birthday on the bed and rose petals to write my name. They put a bottle of champagne and a small cake in the room and filled the Jacuzzi tub with a bubble bath and sprinkled rose petals on top. The bartender at Pelicano's, Alan was the best! He was so friendly and creative in finding drinks for our group to enjoy. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the food was awesome, the service was excellent, the drinks were top shelf. They had spectacular entertainment every night and we enjoyed the pool side Paella. Also, if you're into shopping the access to 5th avenue is perfect. We felt safe on and off the resort and unlike some of the more remote resorts you can safely walk on the beach after dark. We brought lots of $1 bills to tip the staff and were so glad that we did because they deserve every penny!

We want to go back. The beach was awesome and the location is not too far from the Cancun airport. The pools were fun and cafe Luna excellent. The staff is so friendly and you can't beat the weather. The rooms are very updated compared to other places I have stayed in Mexico. It is not for a couples get away I would either go with family or another couple, group.
