Excellent small hotel in town centre

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: The staff and price and location. No complaints.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The centre of town with all the old streets etc close by. The restaurants outside are ok if you like choosing your meal by looking at pictures.
This is a small, simple hotel in the centre of Avignon. Perfectly place for exploring the town. We stayed for a week on the top floor overlooking the square. The square is very busy being the 'street of a thousand restaurants' so to speak. although there are better and just as well priced places within 5 minutes. The room was well sound proofed and cool.Good bed It was 35 degrees plus when we were there. Good and plentiful breakfast and excellent staff all round. For the price we could not fault it.

A bit too central

Posted May 26, 2017
Pros: Clean
Cons: Move the housekeeping stores out of sight of the customers, don't leave them lying all around the hotel. The room was very small and dark.
The staff at this hotel are clearly trying their best, but the hotel is tired and shabby, with stacks of towels, sheets and other cleaning equipment stacked all around the corridors of the hotel, giving a very bad impression.

We try to do our best to satisfy our customers. However we are sorry we did not do the job and that you did not enjoyed you stay. Due to our central location we try to utilise the space we have and during the day, while we are cleaning rooms, we can have the cleaning trolleys in the corridors. However , neither the hotel nor the neighbourhood are unsafe or shabby. Once again we are sorry, Sincerely, Laurent D., Manager.

excellent position

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: hotel position, lovely staff, value for money
Location: Hotel is on the place de l'horloge, round the corner from the Palais du Papes.
The hotel is in an excellent position, right in the centre of things, but you couldn't hear any of the noise from the square in the rooms. We booked 3 rooms for single occupancy, my friend rooms were quite small, but mine had plenty of space. The hotel staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything you need, and the hotel was excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular Customer services

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: Customer services and location
Cons: Nothing - Room were tight but the value made it worth it. You had to shuffle with large suite cases.
Location: It is right in the Central Park area and close to the Popes palace. All the other sight seeing activities are walkable. Super convenient
The location and customer services make this hotel spectacular. They go over and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant. It is a pieced together hotel with tiny rooms but very efficient and reasonably priced. Be a little more prepared if you are driving. Parking is a bit difficult and finding the hotel was hard. There were road closures so GPS wasn't really working. I gave 5 stars all around except for room comfort. Gave it a 4 only cause it was pretty tight for space - a little shuffling with two people and two large suite cases.

Bon Séjour

Posted Apr 1, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel was in the perfect location if you want to be in the centre of everything. It might be noisy in the summer but we heard no noise at all. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast provided variety, quantity and quality.

I was checked in 1.5 hours prior to the official check in time but offered a room with two beds instead of a double bed room that I booked. I asked for a quiet room when making my reservation. The manager said it was a quiet room with windows to the back. The room was nice, clean, with coffee and tea kits. Hotel front doors get locked at 10 pm and to get in after the curfew you have to ring a bell for someone to open the doors. After the cut off time it got horrible. Every half an hour to an hour someone would call, loud conversations, laughter on the stairs. It went on until 2 am. I wasn't able to sleep in in the morning either because the staff began serving breakfast at a restaurant right beneath the so called quiet room. After my complaint I was moved to a room on the fifth floor away from the stairs and the restaurant. There was a hole in the ceiling, paint on bathroom door was peeling from humidity, some machine was constantly working behind one of the walls. But the view of the pope's palace made up for it all. Upon checking out they billed city tax, which was higher than what was communicated at the time of the booking. Probably because of the view?

Thank you for your comment. We are very sorry your stay was not up to your expectations. We do apologize for all the inconvenience. We should have done a better job. As for the city tax it has nothing to do with you room type but there has been a last minute raise from the city and the departement. It took longer then expected to adjust our systems. Once again we are sorry. Sincerely, Laurent D., Manager

A small, well run and clean hotel in the centre of

Posted Jan 26, 2017
Pros: Its location and its cleanliness and it was good value
Location: Avignon is the city of the Popes and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the Palais des Papes. It was ideal for visiting the city centre
The staff were polite and welcoming. It was also noticeable that when new staff were on duty at reception they checked who we were as we entered and went out, good for security. The place was very clean and warm.
