We loved our stay. It was very restful with a great restaurant and bar attached so we didn’t have to go anywhere for food. There was a sort of strange 15 dollar fee the day of to access parking and the breakfast buffet but other than that no surprises.

The outside and lobby area of the hotel is nice but that's where the niceness ends. My first room was dirty and in a state of pretty bad wear and tear but I'm not too particular and was traveling for work, I just needed a bed so I didn't care until I was ready for a shower and discovered I didn't have hot water. The front desk associate moved me to another room (no apology given for the inconvenience of having to move rooms) and my second room was even dirtier and in worse shape than the first one! The hotel was pretty dead so I'm guessing word has gotten out about the general dumpiness of this place, but in case you are considering this hotel, I'm sure there are better and cleaner options nearby.

The property has such a classic old hotel feel. I was so inspired by the beautiful watercolor artwork throughout that I went and bought a set of paint. The decor reminds me of grandpa chic but in the best way. The breakfast was a nice surprise to include- very good food. The only things I could possible say that could use improvement or you can just be aware: the water takes a long time to heat up… but once hot was perfect! Also, the pool is summer only and I didnt realize. And finally, the tv was older and not equipped for anything but cable. I didnt mind though, and got the best nights sleep!

I was very disappointed that we were given a room on the second floor on the motel side. The stairs were hard to navigate with our bags as I have health issues and my mother is 84 years old. I feel we should have been advised about the stairs prior to our stay. The rooms are fine however there is a dead bird on the stairs.

Enjoyed stay and amenities
Always stayed here when visiting family for Christmas always enjoyed the bar to wind down on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day opened to 11pm. This year bar wasn’t opened and really disappointed in that. But everything else was perfect as always and buffet was great. I will stay again next Christmas or when family event. Missed the bar setting hopefully they will be open again next Christmas and Christmas Eve. Allot of people enjoyed the bar at this hotel bar tenders were always great! It brought great spirits for Christmas.

The room was OK but the bathroom was in very bad condition. Some of the sink faucets did not work properly. Bath had non slip strips which were coming off. Took so long to get the hot water for the shower.

Lovely classic feel
Second stay here over the holidays. The location is great. It’s a beautiful older hotel in a quiet area. The holiday decorations are very pretty as well. Our room was large and comfortable.

Love this hotel. Beautiful rooms and layout. I think the breakfast is fantastic and plentiful. The breakfast room is just lovely. All the food is delicious. I wish there were an indoor pool and check-in was moved to the upper level entrance though I doubt there is room. Thank you for a great weekend!!!

Our room had no heat and staff said to wait and it would come on- it never did: 55 degrees. It was thanksgiving night at 10:00 pm and there was no place open to go to. Room VERY small with TV wires hanging on the wall and the inoperable radiator was corroded green on the controls. Staff were obiously lying about the heat and did not come to the room to check it. Stairwells extremely steep, dirty and littered (dead bird etc). "Queen" bed so small my 5 foot tall wife's feet hung over the end. BEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The heat did not work well. Asked for extra blankets and was told they had no more available. Rooms are old and quite dated. Beds uncomfortable and rickety. Would not recommend.

Lovely room, excellent dinner, and dinner server!! Terrible customer service both by a registration clerk(who didn’t have a clue) and even worse by manager . I felt strongly that I should not pay the ripoff “ Faciities Fee” as virtually none of it applied to me. Plus though the check-in clerk tried to say breakfast was part of it, there was a printed card in the room that specifically said it was part of the room rate!! Grrr. For such a nice hotel it was a total turn-off. I am a very steady traveler. They burned me over this $15 charge, a real shame.

My husband and I stay on this property often to visit family. It is a very convenient and safe place to stay but we were very disappointed in the noise due to several weddings that ran into the 2am and on. The place needs an overhaul in terms of updates and being from the area the decor is from the 1980’s which is charming but my sink handle flew off and it’s just plain old. When I pleasantly said the noise went on until late hours they explain there wedding venue and basically if you come on the weekends that’s the situation and honestly that’s probably where the money is. It’s a really nice venue!! The breakfast is the best and heads and tails above what the surrounding hotels are doing, I’ll use this hotel again and I’ll try to avoid weekends. I do think it worth mentioning the noise and dated rooms.
