The hotel was ok in general, however my room at the back of the hotel wasn’t well cleaned. It had an outside door, and dirty boots had left bits on the carpet. My room had no towels and no toilet paper. You’d almost think they’d forgotten to service it. The staff addressed the issues promptly when asked. The hotel served my purposes, but wasn’t great.

Beautiful hotel! We arrived and had the deluxe room at the Mansion, unfortunately the cleanliness was not upto standard considering the start rating of this hotel, there was a dead fly on the bedding. Fortunately, the manager took immediate action and upgraded us to the courtyard suite, which we were grateful for. The suite was okay, cleanliness was on par, but there were cobwebs everywhere. I have a dust allergy, so it wasn't pleasant. The walls are so thin!! I could hear the person upstairs snoring. Would not recommend staying on ground for that reason! The second night was fine. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Honestly speaking, the hotel was lovely, very aesthetically pleasing, but needs a bit more attention.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lords of the Manor. The house is absolutely beautiful and the ground surrounding it are classic picturesque countryside. Lovely walk through upper and lower slaughter. We had dinner at the restaurant which was a bit too fancy and pricey for our tastes but the staff were lovely and very kind. The room was wonderful for the night and I would recommend it!

Hundreds of years after the second wealthiest man in Britain stops building thorrnbury castle because he gets beheaded by Henry 8th for gossiping about him there we were, in the sumptuous luxurious hotel, with the Michelin key, eating top notch scoff in the restaurant with 3 AA rosettes looking forward to a night in the tower.

Our room was very nice with large but was very tired. Definitely needs upgrading
