Located in a quiet side street, the house enjoys a sunny position, with stunning views of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains. In the village of Axams, you’ll find several restaurants offering regional specialties, along with a supermarket, pharmacy, and gas station. Innsbruck is easily reachable by public bus in about 30 minutes. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers plenty of activities. An indoor swimming pool with a heated outdoor pool is just 1.5 kilometers away on foot, and the surrounding forests and meadows are perfect for walking. Innsbruck, one of Austria's most beautiful cities, is just a short bus ride away. Explore historic landmarks like the imperial palace, triumphal arch, and Golden Roof. Take a stroll along Maria-Theresien-Strasse for shopping or relax in the charming street cafés. The holiday home offers the perfect balance of nature and city life for your vacation. She had warned us that the shops shut in Axams at 6pm on Saturday and would be shut on Sunday, so she very kindly organised to buy us the basics for breakfast and lunch the next day, which was fantastic. The house is lovely, with so many rooms, it sleeps 12, plus has a basement with drying room and games room, a good well stocked kitchen, 3 shower/bathrooms with plenty of bedding and towels, plus a lovely garden with outdoor gazebo plus a barbecue. Axams is really well located for exploring the area and with the visitor card you can get the bus for free into Innsbruck, which we did on two occasions or take the bus to Axamer Lizum and then take a cable car up to the top of the Alpes for spectacular scenery and great walking in the summer. There is also a good sports centre with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, three small super markets, two bakeries and other gift shops and restaurants.
