Great hotel for a quick getaway and to do as little or as much as you want. Staff always friendly and informative.

Spa de forcePosted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels
1. A very satisfactory stay. 2. How does one know that the tap water and the shower water come from separate controls? 3. Your rule of "no kids from 7-8 PM" needs to be enforced - it was bedlam. 4. Install reading lights above the beds.

Great locationPosted Apr 29, 2014 on Hotels
Best things were service and location. Less impressed with restaurants in terms of selection and decor (one in particular was like a 1980s ski hut)

Very disappointed with servicePosted Mar 7, 2014
Room was nice but far too hot even with the electric heater turned off. Was told that the level of heating could only be controlled from front desk. Given key to unlock front door as coming back after 11.00pm. Got back just before midnight to find door wide open and no-one on reception which to me is a security issue. On paying the bill was just shown bill on a computer screen and did not receive a print-out as this was not available. Was initially charged for a beverage which had not been purchased but eventually got this removed from the bill. On returning home where I had access to emails found had ben charged £10 more than the price given by Expedia. Have emailed hotel 10 days ago for explanation and haven't had the courtesy of a reply.

Comfortable, well appointed and great amenities.Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Plenty of outdoor activities locally, returning to comfortable, relaxing accommodation.
Cons: No faults.
Location: Close to Brodick within walking distance of many attractions and if you have no car, there seemed to be an adequate bus service to take you further.
A two day break to recharge some very flat batteries...... and it worked. Enjoyed the use of the amenities and ate in the restaurant both nights where the food and service were excellent. Friendly, attentive staff and good service.

Just not what we were expectingPosted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels
We were unfortunately quite disappointed with our stay at the Auchrannie Resort, primarily because it was not what we were expecting. To set the scene, the resort comprises three complexes - the House Hotel, Spa Resort and Lodges. When we arrived we turned up at the House Hotel but were informed we were actually booked into the Spa Resort. When shown to our room it was a modern family room with twin beds and disabled toilet facilities. Given we'd booked a double we informed the hotel staff who kindly made the twin beds into a double. We also mentioned our confusion with the different complexes and the staff explained that the Spa Resort was targeted more at families whereas the House Hotel was more at couples. This seemed very obvious to them but unfortunately it was much to our disappointment as this wasn't apparent via Hotels.com. The perfect example was when we questioned the lack of robes in our room (as described on Hotels.com) and the staff explained they don't put these in the Spa Resort as families aren't generally looking to relax as much. I can't deny that the hotel was very clean, great facilities, etc and the staff were superb but just make sure you know what you are booking into. The images on Hotels.com are mostly of the House Hotel so if you're expecting a relaxing, romantic getaway as we were then make sure you're booked into the House Hotel and not the Spa Resort.

Lovely spa hotelPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Everything.Log fires in the bar, takes dogs.
Cons: Clock radio in room please.
Location: Brodick castle, walks , Arron aromatics, cheese factory and FRidays child- super all ofthem Dont miss them Goatfell , mountains .
Only disadvantage if you haven't a car , it is 10-15 min walk to Brodick or the bus stop. Pool is super. Room very comfy , no radio /clock but otherwise couldn't fault it. Food excellent- we ate in Brambles- BOOK , its popular , main course takes a while as freshly cooked. Breakfastw e had int eh Cruize bar and i thought it had everything, including soya milk, fruit, juices+++, cereals etc I could go on.
