Staff was exceptional; very friendly, helpful and courteous. Room was clean and had a king-size bed. Breakfast was very good.

Came down to Ayr to visit family Hotel was very central and handy for shops and places to eat.

Central Hotel

Pros: The staff were great, friendly, courteous, attentive and professional
Cons: The condition of the rooms could be improved - bathroom was pretty run down.
Location: Central location. To be honest did not go out much near by as we had a wedding to attend!
Central location, did the job as we just needed a base for a couple of days to attend a wedding. Rooms are a little tired and could do with some TLC, but the staff were fabulous throughout our two day trip and people make the place!

Good people but the hotel needs maintenance

We had a one night stay in June, the check-in and service from all the personnel was friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was reasonably good. Unfortunately the room was lacking, the counter top next to the bathroom sink was broken with rough exposed wood and the skirt around the bath tub had pulled away from the tub with the seal broken. I consider the exposed wood a safety hazard and the broken seal around the bath tub skirt a good place for water getting behind the skirt and for mold growth.
