Petite but everything we needed

Posted Apr 11, 2018
We stayed in a semi double room. It was petite but had everything thing that we needed - which was a lot since our checked bag did not arrive with us in Tokyo. The staff was superb as well. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Thank you for being at APA Hotel Nishi Azabu. Also, thank you for choosing our hotel from a number of hotels. It seems like we liked our hotel and we are very glad. Our hotel is located in Minato-ku, the center of Tokyo and located in a relatively quiet area called Hiroo, so it is very popular as a hotel that is very easy to use for sightseeing and business. Please choose our hotel when you come to Japan again by all means. All the staff are waiting.

Not worth the money, too small too old

Posted Apr 10, 2018
Let's start with the positive things and then go through all the negative stuff at the end. The main positive thing is the location, the hotel is close to the hiro-o metro station which is fairly close to Ebisu where you can catch the JR. You can also walk from the hotel to Ebisu through quiet and nice streets. Now with the bad stuff. The hotel is old, it clearly needs to be refurbished and modernized. The rooms are awfully small, there's barely any space to leave your luggage or to even move. The bed is probably smaller than a double, you'll have a bad time sleeping there with your partner if you like to move, well you won't be able to move at all. The pillows, if you can call that pillows, are super thin and not very comfy. The toilette has everything you need in like 2 square meters, no kidding, such a small space. The room wasn't very clean, it was a non-smoking room but when we enabled the air conditioning it started to small like someone was smoking inside. Perhaps we enabled the air smoking unit, go figure. And finally the WiFi is bad, slow as hell. Overall, I'm pretty sure there are way better options for the same price

Thank you very much for staying at APA Hotel Nishi Azabu. As you are saying, our hotel is located in the place adjacent to Ebisu, ROPPONNGI and Hiroo. It is a place that is very crowded in the daytime, but it is very quiet and easy to spend at night, and it gets popular from other customers. I apologize for letting you have a very inconvenient thought you stayed at our hotel. As for the smell of cigarettes, I think that we will discuss the solution by staff at the staff for future service improvement. Our hotel is a new urban type hotel, making the room compact is for relaxing without having to move the room to work tired guests. Moreover, it is a hotel that is becoming environmentally friendly hotel, making the room compact, and switching the air conditioning and heating seasonally so that we are positively adopting CO2 reduction. Thank you very much for giving us your opinion for our precious time for our hotel. If there is something coming to Japan again, we are waiting for you at our hotel.

No temperature control

Posted Apr 7, 2018
Pros: nothing at all. Took 10 min to find my reservation at check-in.
Cons: temperature control for each room plugs on bed stand better pillows overall renewal needed
Location: it's far from any train station, although a taxi to Shibuya or Nogizaka or Omotesando is only about 500 yen. Hiroo station is walkable but not close
Tiny rooms, typical of Japan but on the small side. No temperature control in the room, first Japanese hotel I've ever been to without temperature control (I travel often and have stayed in dozens of Japanese hotels over the years). It was an unusually warm week, but the AC (only can choose off/low/med/high) was set on heating mode. Ended up having to turn AC off and have window open all night, quite noisy (typical of Tokyo) but still too hot to sleep. It was also a terrible week of hay fever, leaving the window open all night definitely didn't help. Another complaint is no plugs on the bed-stand. Closest plugs are on the desk across from the bed, cannot have phone as an alarm unless you have a 2-3 meter cable, which will act as a trip wire across the room.

Thank you very much for staying at APA Hotel Nishi Azabu. We have inconvenienced you at the temperature control of the room. Our hotel is changing the heating and air conditioning alternately at the fixed time to reduce CO2 emissions as measures against ecology, but depending on the day there are also very warm days even in this time period so we It was valuable advice for improving the hotel service of the hotel. Also, it was inconvenient that there was no outlet near the bed. There are limitations on the number, but there is also an extension code rental at the front, so if you have the opportunity to use it again in the future please say at the front desk. Thank you very much for giving us your valuable time thanks for this time. If you have the chance to visit Japan again, please come and visit our hotel.

Standard APA hotel

Posted Jan 28, 2018 on Hotels
If you've ever stayed at an APA hotel, this is pretty much their standard. The rooms are tiny, but they're decent and you have everything you need. The area is pretty quiet and you can walk to Roppongi in about 15-20 minutes. The train is about a 5-10 minute walk.

Decent Hotel in Roppongi area

Posted Jan 28, 2018
Hotel had both good and bad traits. - The room looks nice but is small (But I guess that’s expected in Tokyo). - The front desk clerks were nice and helpful but the cleaning staff were very annoying. They clean every day from like 10-2 and expect you to be out of your room during that time - a little annoying for people on vacation. They clean loudly and talk and laugh in the halls. - The walls are very thin and sound travels between rooms and up/down the hallway easily. Every night I could hear the people’s conversation from the room across the hall as if they were in the room with me. - I like the Roppongi area but keep in mind it’s about a 5-10 min walk to either metro station.

Loved the room slippers and robes nice little touches, although the rooms are small (to be expected for Tokyo) there was a good sized shower over bath and the room worked nicely, great location so close to everything, would stay again.
