"Nice hotel close to Fenway"
The hotel check in was very efficient and the gentleman who took care of us knowledgeable about the area. The room was small but had two windows and classical music playing on the TV upon arrival. I liked that. Good size bathroom and the room was very clean. We booked the room for a Red Sox game and walked the 1 mile to the park. Check out was noon which was nice and coffee and light breakfast in the lounge area. Good coffee, nice room , excellent location and nice staff. I would recommend to a friend.

"Great location, very nice hotel"
We stayed here before, 2 years ago on out first son university scouts in Boston, loved it so much we came back for second son university scouting. The location is great you can walk almost anywhere or get on the subway, the green line. there is a lovely super market and loads of shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away. The rooms are great, we were on 11th floor with great views, watching the world go by and a cloudy day turning to a sunny evening. We have a couple of little complaints, I don't think they have sound proofing. I could here every door opening and closing on our floor as well as a few conversations in the corridors, late at night. The last small but annoying thing, we bought some wine and champagne from home, as it was mothers day weekend. We thought we could either put in the mini bar or bucket full of ice, but no! It looked like maybe there was previously a fridge, not anymore and no way of carrying or storing ice, no ice bucket, there was a ice machine a few doors down. We did however find a way of cooling the champagne a plastic bag to carry ice from tje machine to our room, poured ice in to sink and hay presto, cool champagne. In conclusion, I would come back again as I like the boutique feel of this hotel and it's great location. fingers crossed my son gets into the University he wants, I will be back.

"Top Notch"
I booked this for the deal being offered, as well as the location in the Back Bay. From the minute we arrived at the valet slot, we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Car was whisked away and we entered the lobby of this fabulous newly refurbished treasure! It is decorated magnificently and feels welcoming and cozy. It's not a huge cookie-cutter hotel, but a modern boutique-ish feel. Expedia helped me request an early check-in, which was granted. On the way to our room on the 4th floor, we noticed the wallpaper which subtly depicted the history of Boston and the beautiful wide carpeted staircases, which you can also chose to use instead of the elevator. The room which was on the Stuart Street side was a jaw dropper! Beautiful modern furnishings. The bathroom was large and spotless.

"We love Hotel 140!"
We enjoyed staying at Hotel 140 and it would be our automatic go-to if we ever get a chance to visit Boston again. My husband and I and our son shared a room which was a little cramped given the size of the room, but that was was a small inconvenience when balanced with the benefits the hotel offered. The location is wonderful - in walking distance of all the Back Bay area. The train station was only a block away - we bought 7 day train passes which we used to explore the city. The room was clean and comfortable despite the small size - and in addition the price was quite a bit less than other hotels in the area.
