3.5 star service & facility in a 5 star location

Poorly trained and overwhelmed staff. Tired rooms. I’d only recommend staying there if you lock in a low rate (under $400 per night)

Barely feel the service.

I called for a water boliler for making formula to the baby, it took one hour and one more phone call to get the teapot they said would send up right away! after that we never asked anything more.

Excellent facilities and service

Cons: Sink in bathroom drained extremely slow
Great facilities , staff was extremely helpfull, convenient location. Junior suite was great and very comfortable.

Disappointing!

Pros: Location was great. Close to Common, Newberry Street and Freedom Trail
Cons: Every aspect of the room
Location: Location was great
Our assigned room was small, dark, smelt musty and was generally more akin to the standard of a 3 star hotel than a 4.5. The bathroom was the size of a closet, toiletries had to be placed on the floor, the fittings were like the room generally, old & tired and desperately in need of refurbishment, the shower/bath configuration was claustrophobic to shower in and the shower curtain took up too much space in an already confined area. Constant barking of a dog could be heard from the room across the hall. Overall a disappointing experience that won't be repeated.

Beautiful old hotel with very good service. Bathrooms are a bit dated.

Well-located and comfortable

Pros: Location and amenities
Cons: Quieter aircon would be welcome
Location: Located adjacent to Newbury St shops, eateries etc and close to Boston Common. A half-hour walk from harbourside and the tea party clipper.
Our room was large and comfortable, and staff were welcoming and helpful. Convenient location very close to Boston Common. We're not accustomed to needing aircon overnight, and found it noisy to a degree that roused us from sleep from time to time. But we couldn't open windows as our room overlooked roof plant that was equally noisy. Our stay was quite expensive and the bar was very expensive - but so is everything in Boston.
