Great hotel in a great location

Posted Aug 21, 2017
We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at the hotel. An upgrade to a suite was much appreciated. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located. Very close to Newbury Street. We were going to see a game at Fenway and we walked to the stadium. Hotel restaurant was very good and open late. We would stay at this hotel again.

Lovely stay in a historic building!

Posted Aug 10, 2017
Location: Fenway is about a 10 or so minute walk away. Newberry st. is just around the corner; great for shopping, breakfast, and late night drinks.
Our first trip to Boston was to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay at the Eliot Hotel. The staff are very helpful. I even had one to decline a tip--twice! Our room was located on the front corner of the building, meaning that we had streets on 2 sides of our room, yet the room was still relatively quiet. The room was large with a separate sitting area, complete with tv and doors that could be closed for privacy from the bedroom. A great location for walking to Fenway and Newberry street for breakfast and late night drinks. Their nightly "turn down" surface is also really nice as they replace any towels used after housekeeping has visited and they close the curtains. The in room fridge is nicely stocked with a wide assortment of beverages and snacks. They have free bottles of water at the front desk, too. They just seemed to anticipate our every need before we really realized we needed it. Hope to stay with them again someday!

Great location, close to T and Prudential Centre

Posted Aug 9, 2017
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: There are no facilities, no bar, the restaurant is Japanese food. The rooms are a little dated, a bit shabby, and the lighting is particularly poor.
Location: close to Prudential centre and all the shopping and eating options there.
Large, comfortable suites with good bathroom and facilities such as in room coffee maker. Drawback is poor lighting and surprising lack of power points in bedroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Best of Boston

Posted Aug 8, 2017
We always try a different hotel when we come to Boston, and this has definitely been the best! Great location, walk to everything, and the staff is amazing. Very helpful and funny! They even upgraded us to a suite, free of charge! Can't say enough about this beautiful spot in the city.

Old school...hefty keys to doors, etc.

Posted Jun 1, 2017
Quaint stay...comfy beds(!), quiet ambiance, and charming and friendly staff. Creaky floor in room and broken elevator were minor flaws. I miss having a doorman to greet and open doors at other hotels - very nice to have the doormen at this hotel. Also desk personnel were always quick to acknowledge your arrival and departure each day. Thank you Eliot Hotel for a memorable stay in Boston.

Posted May 26, 2017
The staff is very courteous. But there is no ammenities not even a tub to have a relaxing bathe. Forget about a hot tub. For the price i expected more

Thank you for your feedback. We do have a very limited number of rooms with tubs, so we recommend requesting a tub in advance of your stay.

Gracious hotel in best part of Boston, super staff

Posted May 23, 2017
Pros: Service and staff. Decor. Location.
Cons: Water pressure in the shower needs help. Bathroom in general is tight.
Location: Uni, the restaurant in the hotel, is fantastic. Pricey and sophisticated but really delicious- fusion Japanese. Lots of options on Newbury for food.
The Elliot Hotel is very old-school. The lobby is small and discreet, the elevators have the feel of another era (with 21st century machinery running them). The staff could not be more helpful or accommodating. The room was very comfortable, even after we had to be moved from our first room because the air conditioning didn't work. The bathroom is very small and tight and the water pressure is poor. I can't really think of any other complaints though low water pressure is a big deal to some. But it has a great look with marble and fancy fixtures - it just feels a bit crammed into a small space. But the decor overall is elegant and refined. You can't beat the neighborhood - the Back Bay is the best part of Boston and you are close to lots of great walking, shopping and restaurants.
