Great welcome from the cold

Posted Nov 21, 2017
The staff in this hotel were very nice and the room was lovely. The place has a really old timey vibe with the old style elevator and the metal key but I think it gives a great character to the hotel. The room and beds were comfortable and the shower was surprisingly modern. We had a great stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Love the hotel and the location. I am not a complainer - never do. But here the mattress was small (I'm 5' 10" and my ankles were hanging off the bed) and the mattress WAY too soft - my back was terrible the next morning. I almost slept on the floor, and I would have changed hotels (or at least rooms) if staying a second night.

Nicest staff of any hotel I've ever experienced.

Posted Oct 29, 2017
Pros: Staff; charm of neighborhood and interior.
Cons: ventilation fan. acoustics in restaurant.
Location: Neighborhood is fun: mixture of old Boston architecture and shops/dining for relatively young, probably biotech people. Near MFA, Gardner, Prudential
From the receptionist to doorman, bell person, housekeeper, all were the most thoughtful, courteous, friendly, and sincere hotel staff I have ever met. Rooms vary in size, decor is charming. Ventilation fan can be loud; air quality is good. Beds too soft for my taste, but I like hard mattresses. Rooms are clean and quiet. For dinner: Restaurant is fashionable, specializes in excellent sushi, but you pay for the quality, and it is very noisy. It was fine for breakfast.

Great location

The staff were great. Felt very special everyday when they would greet you back to the hotel. Kevin was fantastic he was so lovely and recommended a lot of great places to go and eat. The room was nice and spacious we had a suite. The pillows were the only thing, super soft which I hate! Walkable to everything and a train stop about 1min walk!

Perfect Back Bay location with old world charm

Posted Oct 24, 2017
Growing up in Boston, and moving to Colorado 20 years ago, I wanted a nice reminder of home. The Eliot was perfect, and it's character was a Cherry on top. The breakfast in Uni, the Hotel's best of Boston sushi venue, was another big surprise. I highly recommend The Eliot for first timers or for those coming back home!

Met our expectation. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds and attentive staff. Quiet given we were in the city.

Happy

When the only complaint I have is that there should be more waste baskets in the suite, then you know it was excellent.

A terrific two evenings

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Pros: Location, close to shopping and restaurants. Easy walking distance to many attractions etc.
Location: Location is in a residential area - yet within easy walking distance of attractions, shopping etc.
This was an excellent two days/evenings at the Eliot Hotel. The staff was always attentive and able to answer all of our questions. The location is quiet - yet close to many shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Easy walking distance to the Freedom Trail locations and other attractions in the downtown area. We were very happy with our choice of hotel.

Great central location

Posted Oct 1, 2017
The Eliot was in a great location for us to see all the things we had on our to do list. This was our 1st visit to this amazing town. It is walking distance to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Gardener Museum. Also, easy access to Fenway Park. We went to the game and took a pedicab home. The hotel has a beautiful old world charm. But it is the staff that made our stay truly memorable. Daniella was a super star. I had several conversations with her prior to our arrival. She arranged a very interesting tour for us with a local historian, Ralph Fenilli. Another shining star was Jose. What a fine young man. He always had a smile on his face and anxious to help in anyway he could. The whole staff was so helpful with advise and making sure we had everything we needed. We would stay there again in a heart beat. Thank you Eliot Staff for all your hard work and hospitality.

Just About Perfect

Location: Symphony Hall is a 10-minute walk, the Prudential Center even closer.
An extraordinary staff, ideally located if you are going to Symphony Hall. The personnel could not be better, housekeeping is a wonder. You are made to feel like royalty. Bedding is comfortable. Sound proofing is great. No complaints.
