Lovely hotel near Copley Square & Boston Univ.

Posted Sep 7, 2017
Pros: Comfortable beds; quiet; great location; great staff; beautiful rooms
Cons: NA
Location: Boston University; Kenmore Square; Copley Square; dining; Commonwealth Avenue mall (park); Boston Public Library.
This hotel is just absolutely lovely. The rooms were very nicely appointed (we had a suite) and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The rooms were quiet and the beds were incredibly comfortable! The hotel is in a great location being close to Copley Square, to Boston University (east campus) and to Kenmore Square (which has a T stop). There are also lots of dining options close by, which was a plus. While not inexpensive (nor overpriced), the pampering one feels at this hotel make it worth it. This is a great stay for adults. I cannot say enough nice things about the hotel and its staff, and we will definitely stay here again.

Quiet surroundings

Posted Sep 4, 2017
The Eliot is located a short walk from busy Newbury Street, but on a quiet stretch of Comm Ave. The staff pay attention to detail - we asked for a feather-free room and it was ready for us upon arrival- we usually have to ask housekeeping to remove all the feather bedding after getting to our room. Our suite was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and we appreciated the bottled water at turndown. Our view was disappointing - an alleyway.

Beautiful hotel, staff was excellent.

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Pros: clean and convenient. Great staff!
Cons: Listen to your guests. I really felt by some of the comments regarding the a/c that they thought I didn't know how to work a thermostat. Really?
Location: Fenway, Boston Commons, Food, close to the harbor.
No a/c one night. Fortunately it was not overly warm that night but I when maintenance showed up they said we didn't have it turned on which we had turned on and off numerous times before our calling about it. They then came back two more times about it before I just quit calling. It was fixed the next morning but we should have just been moved to another room or something.

Great place to stay. Everything very well done and taken care of. Close to Fenway, Newberry St and close enough to Boston Common and the Charles River. Favorite place to stay in Boston

Excellence center of Boston

First-rate hotel and service. The staff was lovely. Good valet parking and super attentive all around. Tasteful, classy decor. Great to walk through Back Bay, shops and restaurants on Newbury St., and to and from Fenway Park! Well done, Elliot Hotel. (And thanks for the upgrade!)

Great hotel in a great location

Posted Aug 21, 2017
We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at the hotel. An upgrade to a suite was much appreciated. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located. Very close to Newbury Street. We were going to see a game at Fenway and we walked to the stadium. Hotel restaurant was very good and open late. We would stay at this hotel again.

Lovely stay in a historic building!

Posted Aug 10, 2017
Location: Fenway is about a 10 or so minute walk away. Newberry st. is just around the corner; great for shopping, breakfast, and late night drinks.
Our first trip to Boston was to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay at the Eliot Hotel. The staff are very helpful. I even had one to decline a tip--twice! Our room was located on the front corner of the building, meaning that we had streets on 2 sides of our room, yet the room was still relatively quiet. The room was large with a separate sitting area, complete with tv and doors that could be closed for privacy from the bedroom. A great location for walking to Fenway and Newberry street for breakfast and late night drinks. Their nightly "turn down" surface is also really nice as they replace any towels used after housekeeping has visited and they close the curtains. The in room fridge is nicely stocked with a wide assortment of beverages and snacks. They have free bottles of water at the front desk, too. They just seemed to anticipate our every need before we really realized we needed it. Hope to stay with them again someday!

Great location, close to T and Prudential Centre

Posted Aug 9, 2017
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: There are no facilities, no bar, the restaurant is Japanese food. The rooms are a little dated, a bit shabby, and the lighting is particularly poor.
Location: close to Prudential centre and all the shopping and eating options there.
Large, comfortable suites with good bathroom and facilities such as in room coffee maker. Drawback is poor lighting and surprising lack of power points in bedroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
