good location

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Pros: location, price
Cons: for the location and price it works just fine. Internet
Location: Badlands national park, hiking, views.
when you need a place to rest your head in Interior, this works and the price is right, and the views are fantastic. The town has a population of 67, and this is the hotel servicing this area of the Badlands. Head to the lodge in the park for dinner.

Near Badlands, SD

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: It had a roof
Cons: A little effort at decorating would help plus some deep cleaning.
The air conditioner was never cleaned or wiped off, when we turned it on dust balls flew everywhere. The room was so bare and dismal, one step above camping but much more expensive.

Tiny town convenience

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Interior has a population of 67 as posted on the official sign. As such, don't expect anything fancy in terms of accommodations or dining. If you expect a basic, clean room where the mini-fridge doubles as the night stand, then you'll be fine. If you need a high quality mattress and brand new carpet, you're better off staying in Wall. For a family who uses the motel/hotel to crash at the end of a busy day hiking/bouldering/exploring, this place is perfect, especially when we're headed east the next day.

Nice views.

The friendly staff and location was the best portion of my visit. It's an older property but it's kept clean. Pet friendly.

this hotel is like a National Park Hotel.

Posted May 25, 2017
Pros: The owners were helpful
Cons: The rooms could be updated and include a television.
Location: This is near Badlands National Park. There appear to be only two dining options and the second is a bar.
The owners were very nice and went out of their way to assist us.

Very basic and very cheap

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: Very close to the Badlands National Park. In-room mini fridge and microwave very useful since there are hardly any places to eat in town.
Cons: Even though there were only two parties staying at motel, they put us next to each other. Wish they'd spaced us out b/c other couple were loud.
Location: Smallest town you'll ever visit (less than 100 people). Outside of the Badlands, there is a bar with slot machines.
I wouldn't expect anything fancy for the price we paid, but a simple clock would have been nice. Comfortable and accommodating enough to use as a place to sleep after hiking in the Badlands.

Convenient, Safe, Clean

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Pros: The staff. Location. Quiet. Safe.
Cons: A bit rough around the edges.
Location: The Badlands of course! Plan to spend more than one day if you really want to experience it.
I took a cross-country trip that included two days in the Badlands. This motel was close and convenient, well-priced. Outdated but very mom&pop. I felt comfortable sleeping and that's what I needed. Although breakfast had to be purchased, it was served with a smile and gave me a good start to the day. The motel fit its location-rugged and friendly.

Pros: The location to town, and right next to the badland national Park. Clean room, it had all I needed.
Cons: It had all that I required. Just what you would think of for a town of less than 100.
Location: Easy access to the Badland National Park, just 2 miles away.
