"Enjoyed our first trip to Huatulco Mexico, our room was cleaned couple times a day, we did have a little light switch we could turn on if we choose not to. They did a turn down service every night which threw me off at first but I really enjoyed having everything tidied. Abraham welcomed us our first day & everyday would ask how everything was & if we needed any help. He helped us book a 7 bay tour & waterfall tour. we enjoyed both of those however next time we are going to leave a day in between as it definitely tired us out but definitely worth it! He also gave us advice on where we should go for shopping and always found us a cab fairly quickly! We couldn’t get our safe working but they got it changed out for us with no problems. There were a few options for restaurants right on the resort as well as daily buffets so lots of options. Our favourite restaurant was Spice (Pan-Asian Fusion Restaurant), the food was absolutely delicious! We also learnt there is a secret cabinet in the room for the concierge to put room service in or to take dirty dishes without them having to come into your room. (This door can be locked from the inside so you only unlock it when you ordered something or when you have asked them to come grab your dishes, don’t worry) All in all it was a nice relaxing vacation for the most part we just needed to plan our tours a little further apart from one another but this was our first time so that was our mistake. It’s hot and humid but I enjoy heat"

"We loved our stay at Agua Azul and can’t wait to return next year. Amy is a fabulous host who has thought of every detail to make your stay perfect. The location is a 10 minute taxi ride to town so this is the place if you are looking to unwind and relax. There are two beaches a short walk away - we saw turtles one evening. We can’t say enough great things about this hotel, everything was wonderful. Fresh fruit with the breakfasts every morning, so many birds in the area and a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. Lots of friendly Canadians staying here at the same time as us :)"

"My group was 3 couples, all family members, ranging in age from 20 to 80. The condo was the must luxurious place I have ever stayed. It was very large, with ample room for everyone. Each bedroom was spacious with a generous bathroom. The view is SPECTACULAR, and it's a 2 minute walk from the room to the beach. The cove was so beautiful, and the water warm and clear. I've been asked this about our trip numerous times: Yes, you will be and feel safe. Very safe. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, although many speak little English. We ate breakfast and dinner once at the on-site restaurants. Both meals were about $135 USD for 6 people - more expensive than off-site meals, but certainly way cheaper than a similar American facility. I liked that most of the other guests were Mexican, and the consierge said that it is popular with Canadians during the winter months. Pro Tip 1: Take lots of small bills as you will be doing a lot of tipping. Pro Tip 2: You can have 5 gallon bottle of safe drinking water develivered to your room for $60 pesos ($3.15USD). The only negative is that Celeste is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the town, and there are no restaurants or stores within walking distance of the complex. (Remember, there are eating facilities on-site, and the office sells a small selection of snacks and toiletries.) That just means you need to be organized when you're in town if you want room snacks, booze, etc."
