Has a private beach.

Pros: staff and customer services in some how
Cons: staff needs to be better communicated with the local calls fee, they can overcharge the calls.
Location: The location is ok if you want to stay only at the hotel. If you want to travel to the town you need to take taxi for about 5-6 CAD/ per tripm

Good hotel , beautiful beach but can't swing on it

Excellent hotel, good food, beautiful beach, you cannot swim on it. Good personnel. You can buy services and souvenirs.

Expensive hotel for mediocre service/quality

If youre looking for quality service stay else where. Was not at all impressed. The view from my room was great, the bed was uncomfortable, and the staff at the front desk and guest services was unwelcoming, slow and unfriendly. Bell boy staff, lifeguards, and luis the bartender/ waiter provided excellent service!

REFUND?

If you're going to stay at this hotel, do it merely for the location. I arrived at the hotel around 2pm after a long day traveling and the receptionist stated I couldn't get a room assignment until 3pm. This was the first time I go somewhere in Mexico that actually enforces check-in schedules. The receptionist offered me an upgrade to the premier all-inclusive for $70 more. I told her I'd think about it, although unbeknownst to me at the time there were promotional posters all over indicating the premier fee was only $35 PP, per night. When I went back to the lobby I approached a different receptionist and she confirmed the $35 fee. I was upset about the misinformation so took a walk to think about whether or not I'd upgrade. When I finally decided to, I went back to the lobby and approached a different staff member and the fee went up again. This time the excuse was I had reserved a room with double beds. By now I'm furious, and have trust issues with the entire staff. When I asked to speak to the manager they told me he was unavailable. SO SKETCHY. I finally get a room key and the A/C is blowing warm air. Could it get worse? YES. 20-30 minute lines to get into restaurant for the "all-inclusive" meals. I'm not sure if the sketchiness, poor service, and lack of A/C was due to it being "off-season" but that is ZERO excuse for a so-called 4 star hotel. NEVER AGAIN. Go to Dreams or Secrets.

Fantastic Family Vacation

Barcelo's staff is very friendly and professional! We had a great time, the events coordinar Marianna Delgado is awesome with adults and with kids. They have all types of fun events for the whole family! My son had a blast! Very safe and very worth the price, the entertainment every night was the best! The performers are wonderful!

Nice hotel in a nice bay

Pros: Location.
Cons: Pool, there are multiple signs for "adult pool" but it is actually full of kids. Hotel staff don't enforce the rules. Internet did not work at room
Location: Huatulco is a wonderful place
Nice hotel, pleasant personnel, family oriented. If you are an adult that likes relaxation this might not be the place for you as even though rules are posted the personnel will not enforce them turning the facility into a "lively mess". If on the other side you are looking to make noise this will work.....

First time doing the all inclusive

A+ all around. Barcelo earned every penny of the cost of this trip. Perfect for a wedding. Can't wait to come back or visit another Barcelo property.

Their food was good but they should change their menu, their breakfast and lunch were the same everyday but other than that their staff was very nice and welcoming

Internet is spotty at best, even though we payed for the Premium package, which was supposed to unclude internet access. They promised items that were included in the package and failed to deliver them until we constantly reminded them. 3 days later we go everything. Our bathroom smelled like sewage. DON'T buy the premium package. NOT worth it!
