Pros: Cleanliness and the Rooftop (when it was open)
Cons: Customer Service. Michael was just not personable AT ALL.
Location: Central location, which is perfect.
After flying for almost 8 hours from NY, when we arrived to the hotel the front desk told us that we were unable to check in until 2PM. I'd like to point out that I saw other people check in prior to 2PM and given the keys. My other issue is with Expedia first and then the hotel. While my experience booking this entire trip was horrific, while booking a double room, we realized that when we got to the hotel that there was only 1 bed in the room. The gentleman at the front desk told us that Expedia indicated in the notes that we wanted one bed (so there's nothing that he could do about it). While, Expedia may have indicated the proper response should not have been "there's nothing i can do about it, that's what you put"... If i'm asking you for two beds, how can you tell me that I put down that I wanted 1 bed? Then he and the manager told us that if there were any rooms that opened up with 2 beds, they would let us know. No one ever said anything. Common courtesy goes a long way. Even if you don't have a double room with two beds, I believe that you should have said something. The hotel is small so it's not like they didn't know who we were. When you're of different ethnic background, the treatment is a little different. I believe. Overall, the rooms were really tiny and the beds weren't very comfortable. They were clean, however which is really important. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay there again unless I'm sleeping in the room by myself. The double rooms are not fit for 2

Location, Modern, Helpful Staff

Pros: Modern, high end room
Cons: None
Location: Literally a street away from the most happening neighborhood in Lisbon.
Long flight and met by very friendly helpful staff, was able to check in early to refresh and start my trip!

As expected. Clean, cool look, great beds. Nice bar downstairs with great mixologist. Location could not be better. (expect normal city noise!)

Good location!

Pros: Location Staff Clean and comfortable
Cons: Overall style of hotel is very dark/black. Felt sort of like a night club in our room.
Location: Lots within walking distance. Avoid the trolley...took forever and was just easier to walk and not deal with the hassle of working on their schedule.
Hotel is well situated...easy walking distance to water, night life, cafes and sites. Hotel has a modern style...not really our thing but it was clean and functional. Staff was very helpful!!

Beautiful upgraded rooms in perfect location

This hotel was perfect in every way! The rooms were upgraded and had beautiful big bathrooms. The location was in one of the popular areas with the shopping around the corner and lots of cafes and restaurants.

Nice place - jerk of a manager

I misbooked by two days: Tues-Thur instead of Thur-Sat. So I asked if the manager could adjust my days. I would pay the extra weekend rate. Manager says he was not booked during the week when I was not there, so I thought he would just adjust my days over. But he made me pay for the days I missed plus the days in the weekend that I needed. I booked through hotels.com. Called them & they said he was unwilling to work with them. Hotels.com has been communicating with me daily trying to resolve this but they say this manager is not willing to accommodate anything. Further: they say parking is available - yes, down a steep hill on another city block. The 'rooftop bar' was not open during posted open hours. The TV, mounted on a stripper pole, did not work. The bed came with a blanket but no sheet. I had to ask for one daily. The sink in the bathroom was small and had a mirror hanging over half of it so when you wash your face, half the water goes in the floor. The halls are hot and humid. Given this manager could have offered us ANY consulation & gave us NOTHING, based on the customer service from Philip the manager - I would not recommend this place. My mistake cost him nothing. A human would be kind. Had they been booked solid during those days I would understand my obligation to pay for those days. But they were not & he was not willing to offer any consolation for the $450 I had to pay. This will be a story I tell to anyone contemplating a visit to Lisbon.

Dear Mr Brian We appreciate your feedback, however I would like to mention that it is not at all true, as the mistake of the reservation was yours for a non refundable booking, You booked from the 4th to the 7th of July and only arrived on the 6th of July. As the reservation was non refundable the Hotel charged you the full stay as a contract. When you arrived a you asked us to do some attention, But on the day of your arrival which you did two days later, and you noticed that the dates of the reservation were wrong, you still wanted us to make some kind of compensation for your mistake and asked to the hotel to offer the two nights. What we did was make a special price to the next two nights and still offered a breakfast and parking (which you didn't accept). The hotel does not have to be responsible for customer mistakes, of course we can always try to help, which we did. bout our facilities: The parking is about 100 meters from the Hotel on the same street, not on a different block as you said, sorry for that. You have one shelve on the right hand side near the mirror, small one but you have, and you have below the sink a cube with two shelves. It's true , we do not have A/C on the hallways but the hallways it's only a passage to rooms, and inside the rooms and the lobby we do have a good A/C. Our beds have the bottom sheet and duvet cover that replaces the top sheet. I know that you have lost some money with your reservation, but was your mistake not ours, please don't try to arrange a way to denigrate the Hotel Image. Best Regards Ricardo Veríssimo

Great location, rooms could use update

Pros: great location
Cons: the hotel needs to modernize the rooms and the hallways as it's very dark.
Location: in the great neighbourhood of Bierra Alta with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Great location in Bierra Alta, in the heart of the city. The hotel room is very dark with dark walls and a very unusually laid out washroom. There were no exposed electricity plugs.
