Great stay at the Bakersfield Marriott

Pros: Rooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Overall a great stay.
Cons: Exceeeded my expectations.
Location: Walking distance to much of the bar/restaurants downtown.
Stayed here to visit friends in town. Excellent experience. Hotel staff were fast, friendly, and efficient. They have a Starbucks downstairs in the lobby. Walking distance to where I needed to go for the evening.

Nice Hotel!

Pros: The room and hotel was clean. The comfortable beds made sleeping easy.
Cons: There was a leak in the ceiling in the fitness center. Our room overlooked the air conditioners but it also had some mountain and hills view
Location: It was next to the convention center and around the corner from a movie theater. There was an ice rink with hockey next door!
The staff was exceptional from the check in to the restaurant servers. My wife and 12 year old were there for 2 days and it was a good experience. The beds were so comfortable and they had real down pillows.

Stayed for State football game vs local high school team. This staff was amazing night and helped make the celebration so special. Very well done and thank you to the whole staff.

there is train noise all night long for 3 of the 4 nights I stayed... no microwave in the room and no microwave in the lobby... have to pay $10 per day to get a microwave to the room to heat some food if needed...

Too noisy

The hotel has a bad smell to it. It isn't so much in the rooms, but the common areas. We will not be staying there again due to the noise. Both sirens at night as well as poor insulation so we can hear people outside our room and in neighboring rooms way more than is acceptable..
