Nice hotel and awesome staff

Pros: The awesome staff they have! Very helpful and kind.
Cons: Not to put AC in automatic so it wont be turning on and off all night
Location: Very close to downtown around 10-13 mins away, close to airport.
Me and my husband had our vacations planned to go to California and make a roadtrip, so we started in San Diego. Our flight was supposed to leave at 7:30pm but It was exactly the day before Irma touched Miami so you can imagine who crazy the airport was! Anyways our flight was delayed many times, our gate changed, and we were inside of the plane for more than an hour without AC because the pilot was saving gas so we didn't had to go back. I called to the hotel and this nice attendee picks up the phone and told me she was going to have everything ready by the time we get to the hotel. long story short, we finally arrived to San Diego and got to the hotel around 3AM and the were already waiting for us, who made the check in told us that the person that answer the phone the first time told her we were flying from MIA and they had the room ready for us! What a relieve! We were so tired!!! The room was perfect, clean, comfy and no noise around. :) <3

Nice for short stay.

Okay room for two days. All rooms give microwaves, except this one. Ugly spots on carpet. Building is showing its age. Needs an update.

Dirty and rundown

The floors in the hallways were littered with garbage at all hours of the day and night. The carpet was frayed and stained. The rooms are loud and you hear cars racing down the street and doors slamming all night. My air conditioner started leaking in the middle of the night and I had to put a towel on the floor so I could get some sleep. Overall one of the most run down places I have ever stayed.

Comfortable huge clean room but the air conditioner requires to be fixed in order to avoid its noise, it is not loud but one can hear it.

Diminished expectations

Our fridge was not closing all the way due to a faulty door gasket. This prevented everything that we had initially stored in there from maintaining temp. Maintenance replaced the fridge with one that actually shut. We always stay at this hotel when we're in Bakersfield and have had some sort of issue with the inroom fridge four straight times. Maybe it's time to upgrade the appliances to newer models. The carpet in the room was filthy. It was bad enough that I didn't want either of my children walking around in the room without shoes on. Periodically steam cleaning the room carpets should be something to consider. Our inroom television/cable services were limited to basic service. Whenever we tried to access the on demand movie options/menu it prompted us as "unavailable." We brought this to the attention of the front desk and were dispatched someone from maintenance to try and fix this issue but nothing was ever resolved. I called the front desk the next morning to see if there was any further attempt made to resolve this issue and she informed me that other occupants had also complained of the same issue. I would think that the parent company would want to have issues like this resolved asap so that occupants would pay to use the advertised services. Overall, I feel like the quality of the hotel rooms and amenities have diminished over the past couple of years that we have been staying at this location. Check in screw up

arrived at the hotel and they said the reservation was the wrong night Had to pay separately(again) to spend the night how do I get a refund back from Expedia? Sandy
