Friendly and pretty resort

Pros: The staff was friendly and the resort was beautifully maintained.
Location: It is good to enjoy water sports in the sea and take a walk in the resort.
The kindness and gifts I received at check-in were impressive, and I was able to feel the kindness and the thought of customers throughout my stay. During the day, I enjoyed water sports in the sea, and the meal was so delicious. Resort was beautifully prepared, and pool and beach were good, too.

Ideal location on the beach

Pros: Situation, easy to hire a care and access many attractions, a good selection of restaurants. Spacious rooms, but most of all the staff are amazing.
Cons: The finish in the bathrooms is a little rustic and decor a little dark.
Location: Great location on balaclava beach. Easy to drive to botanical gardens and sugar museum, lots of trips with hotel pick up too.
Warm and friendly welcome. Room was spacious and we were ideally located for pools beach and restaurants. We booked half board which for us was fine. Dine around restaurants were very good especially, O Beach, situated on the beach, Madame Mings and the Italian one, quality food. The buffet restaurant was really good for both breakfast and dinner, something for everyone. The hotel has an open air/ African lodge feel to it and for those of us with a bird phobia, it was very difficult at times. The pool areas and beach are clean and comfortable, but what makes this hotel is the staff, so friendly, willing to help and eager to please.

Nice Hotel For families with a lot a activities

We stayed 10 nights and it was a really good experience. Nice Hotel wonderful staff the infrastructure really good The food was delicious but the only two things we complained about were .....First, the cleanliness in our room We had to ask for the recleaning the room and they did it well but maybe the problem is the leak of gases from the tube. Second There are 2 of the restaurants that we wanted to go but they are adults only so we recommend they should have at least one nignt during the week open to families

A mixed bag

Great facilities, lovely staff but dirty rooms and awful food. Kids loved the pools. We had a serious cockroach problem in our room and it was never really cleaned properly during our stay.

a disappointing stay

The hotel did not meet up to expectations. The cleanliness , service and quality of food was sub standard . I am very well travelled and my wife and I would not recommend this place. There are far better resorts and hotels on the island which luckily was a beautiful place to explore .

A great stay - and awesome place to come back to!

We had a great time, lots of walks, visits to the gym, great food, dining and services, plenty options and choice between beach and swimming pools and restaurants and bars, very spacious and well managed resort, very spacious and pleasant reception area, there was never a shortage of loungers around the pools or tables at dinner or breakfast, or anything else. All minor issues were immediately attended to after being reported, and resolved successfully. Definitely a place to come back to!

Rather disappointed with room, food and quality of sea fauna. Needs to lift quality of food and room. Will not book again for the price paid. Also urgent need of getting rid of dirty stray dogs on the beach....

Great facilities, somewhat annoying staff

Very nice facilities with the pool area going to the beach. It could be a really top rated resort if they had a bit better trained staff that were better at listening to people and not just into what is on their own mind and better at just identifying and fixing the unneccessary quirks in the place (fridge area weirdly disfunctional, door not easily closing properly,...). The tours representative was also not good at hearing that something else was being said and repeated. I began to feel that it was a bug with Mauritius that people just try to pull you along (saying anything) with what is on their own mind and not wanting to hear anything else (like the taxi people at the airport that tries to grab our bags), but then we were the last two nights at another resort (the residence) and people were different there. It was a much better experience there, and it almost managed to repaire some damaged done at our first stop (the Ravenala) of our long travel in Africa at an important trip for us.

Not worth the price!!

Pros: Nice ocean view, food was good, room was confortable and good size. Cons: Service was rude at times, issues with room with no assistance, toliet was leaking and no one fixed it, as well as the bug issues. Ordered room service and no one came, and the staff was extremly unprofessional and rude to outside services, such as taxi drivers. The hotel plays music loud until 2am. Would not reocommand for couples.
