Inexperienced staff and bad location

Hotel is not located near to kuta beach at all, no proper porch or drop off area. The drop off area faces a busy main road. There are no porter services either - we had to bring our own luggage up to our rooms. Family loft or duplex room was very small and the bed on 2nd level was very pathetic - only one small window and bed on the 2nd level. We asked for a change of room to the normal superior room, they were kind enough to give us an extra bed and no additional charge.
Restaurant staff are inexperienced - asked for cappuccino 3 times and waited about 30 minutes before someone who knew how to make it prepared it for me. Breakfast was measly everyday - not fantastic but enough to fill the tummy.
Pool was ok, but not clean, many particles floating around in the water. Bath towels had a weird smell to it, hair dryer was super slow. In summary - a very no frills hotel without the finer details. If you are ok with that then this hotel is for you. If you are, like us, looking for a good holiday stay with a nice room and view, good service and good food, this place is not for you.
