Very relaxing, nice beach, nice view from Di Mare restaurant. Resort is a bit secluded and lack of activities. Would be good if activities like yoga, sauna are free to enjoy.

Very nice hotel right by the beach

Pros: beach, rooms & food
Cons: staff service
The hotel is amazing, the beach , the food at the restaurant, etc. The staff however, despite being very friendly, they are just SO slow, it ruins a big part of the experience.

Wonderful location terrible service

The villas themselves are very nice and the beach is fantastic. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a 3 bedroom villa. The beach is great and the views from the restaurant were magnificent. The stay there was completely ruined by an extraordinary amount of oversight and mistakes in service from the staff including continual mistakes to our room service orders including sending our food to the wrong room. Missing items at the restaurants. The attention to detail also lacked with no bath mats in the room, lack of pool towels and no pool fence or high chairs in the room on arrival as requested.

We really enjoyed our stay at Karma Kandara. The room was clean and the service was good. The best part about the resort is the location. It has the perfect location at the cliff, overlooking ungasan beach from the top. It also has lift to get down to the beach, unlike other hotels that usually only provides hundreds of stairs to get down to the beach. Definitely we'll be back to this resort and recommend it to anyone looking for a leisure stay at Bali.

Amazing location, poorly run

1. The hotel sent me a few emails about our estimated time of arrival, so I responded a day before our arrival, telling them that we would arrive around noon. I also asked to make a spa & dinner reservations but I did not hear back from them. When we got to the hotel, we had to wait forever to check in... and the receptionist told us our room wasn't ready yet. We told him we sent the hotel an email and he said "Yes, I just read it an hour ago and I didn't think you would be arriving until late afternoon." First, I sent that email one day before. Second, I said "around noon"... He didn't even mention about our spa & dinner. 2. Villa was spacious with cheap furnitures. There were monkeys on our roof at night so we couldn't sleep in our master bedroom. The pool in our villa was dirty- the water was almost green, and there were poop by the pool side. 3. The restaurant staff barely spoke English. She didn't even understand "allergy." I told her "no onions, because allergy" and she said "okay onions on the side." So I told her again "allergy. NO onions." and she said "allergy?" with an empty look... 4. There was a bikini foam party at the beach. We wanted to relax by the beach but it was like a college party! No elegance of a five star hotel. 5. Check out was a disaster. A day before our check-out, we requested a hotel car to take us to the airport the next morning. We specifically said no taxi. But of course they arranged a taxi. No apology from the receptionist.

Karma K for a short birthday trip

Location: Great location and views
Few days away for my birthday with the family (wife and 2 young boys) was made that much better by excellent customer service. My eldest has an eating disorder and we are not the easiest of families to accommodate when travelling but the staff were excellent and didn't make us feel like anything was too much trouble. The villa facilities were fantastic as was the beach club and kids club. The setting is amazing from the restaurant views to the chilled out mood and white sand at the beach club. Highly recommended and we could go back as soon as possible. PS the buggy rides are also especially exciting.

Not worth for this price point

The reception area is quite small and understaffing. The service is not up to standard, e.g. not filling up the toiletry and bottle water without several requests. We were renting for a villa for six persons but the private pool is too small to swim, may approx. 12 meters only.

Karma Kandara Stay

Pros: The villas, private beach, the staff, service, drinks are awesome!!!, private pool
Cons: The menu at Di Mare can be improved. It is very limited. I think they can include some Indonesian traditional food and expand the main plate a little.
Location: Location is a little bit isolated, but it is good. It depends on what you have planned to do.
The experience was the most beautiful and joyful of my entire life. Definetely filled the expectations and every penny is worth it. As soon as we arrived the concierge received us with a delicious drink and telling us the good news that we had an upgrade in our villa. The staff did the imposible to set us up with a romantic dinner at the beach. Room service excellent. NO COMPLAINS AT ALL

Great place! If your looking for an awesome view it's a great place. The beach is a little rough and small for beach lovers. Food is excellent but only two places to pick from. But $$$
